Born in the 1930s, King Kong-hee moved with his family to Hailin County, Mudanjiang at the age of 4. When he was in middle school, he longed to study and one day be admitted to the university of his dreams. However, when he was 17 years old, the United States launched a war of aggression against Korea, burning the flames to the banks of the Yalu River. In the face of the aggressor's mad atrocities, the idea of defending the motherland and defeating the aggressor had completely occupied his entire soul, and he resolutely signed up for the army.

During this period, there was also an episode in which the leader of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education at the time, believing that he was too young and short, was not suitable for a soldier, advised him to go back to study. To this end, he begged the leadership bitterly, repeatedly asked for approval to join the army, after several times of pleading, he finally got his wish to become a glorious volunteer soldier, and in October 1950 with the 63rd Army of the 19th Corps of the Volunteer Army crossed the Yalu City from JiulianCheng to participate in the war (Note: He was developed into a member of the Communist Party of China during his study at Chaoyangchuan Middle School in Jilin in 1947, and was responsible for the underground work of our party in the Yanbian area, and the later organization recognized his underground work period as the time of enlistment).

At that time, in the Korean battlefield, the US military relied on air superiority and bombed everywhere, and King KongXi and his troops could only stay overnight, passing through Uiju, Suncheon, Chengcheon, Gangdong, and Singye in Korea, and arriving at the edge of the city. The villages and towns through which this road passed were all filled with smoke and flames from the US military planes, and one house after another and one campus after another were reduced to rubble and scorched earth in the bombing; groups of North Korean women and elderly people carrying children on their backs, carrying burdens, leaving their hometowns, and rushing in the direction of the Yalu River in fear and anxiety, and everywhere was filled with that kind of unspeakable bleakness! Seeing this, King Kong Xi couldn't help but feel sad and indignant, and secretly determined to defeat the US army.

At that time, the volunteer army was on a rapid march, and each volunteer soldier carried forty or fifty pounds, and had to walk more than one hundred and thirty miles in one night, not so much as marching as running. However, in the company of the enemy planes that were fiercely bombed overhead for many days, the volunteer army also found that the US aircraft bombing was a carpet four-point bomb, first dropping three bombs, forming a triangle, and finally dropping another bomb in the center of the triangle, forming an all-round bomb, never reintroducing, and the US military thought that this would greatly kill and injure the volunteers.

Having figured out the law of the US bombing, the brave and careful officers and men of the volunteer army simply followed the shells, and the enemy plane hovered overhead, ignoring it as long as it did not dive, and continued to march, jumping from one crater to another that had just exploded. During the march, although King Kong-hee was the youngest, he was never left behind, and since he was Korean-speaking, he also took on more other tasks. Everywhere he went, he had to understand the local enemy situation, find a mass guide, find a house for the troops to rest, and in this way, in the midst of the fire, he had a "title" of a battlefield translator.

After King Kong Xi entered the Dynasty, he participated in all five battles, and many battle experiences and battlefield pictures still make him unforgettable.

In the Tieyuan sniper battle, Kongo Hee has always been fearless and heroic. The fighters carried out carpet bombing by Chinese and American aircraft, and a house was blown to pieces. Where the bomb landed, a puff of smoke rose up. In the meantime, in a house that had been blown to the point of collapse, the cries of a boy were heard. Hearing the crying, JingAng-hee, who was not far away, did not hesitate at all, rushed into the room, and rescued an injured old lady and a boy who was only six or seven years old in time, and moved them to safety. After that, King Kong Hee immediately threw himself into the battle.

At the beginning of the blockade battle in the library, the river bridge was blown up by the US army, and the ammunition could not be transported to the front line. The US military tried in vain to use this trick to completely block the transportation line and cut off the supply of military supplies for the volunteer army. In order to break through the enemy blockade and replenish the military ammunition in time, King Kong-hee began to mobilize the Korean people in Korean to repair the broken bridge overnight amid the enemy's artillery fire.

"Bright and dangling flares stained the earth, trees, riverbanks and people a terrifying white, and the roar of aircraft, the strafing of machine guns, the explosion of bombs and the howling wind sounded deafening in the ears. The roaring shells landed in the river, splashing waves as high as a foot. King Kong Hee recalled.

Many North Korean women tied their children to their backs and joined the volunteers in transporting stones to build bridges. In this rain of bullets, the bridge was quickly repaired, and truckloads of military supplies were delivered to the front line on time, laying the foundation for the final victory of the battle. After fierce fighting, in the battle of obstruction in the library, the US troops were beaten to the ground, the US tanks and cars were twisted from side to side, the corpses of the US troops lay upright, and the groups of US prisoners bowed their heads and bent down to be escorted to the prisoner of war camp. Guns, ammunition, military blankets, duck down pajamas, food and countless other trophies were captured by our army.

After three years of arduous and outstanding fighting, under the joint blows of the Chinese and Korean people, the US troops armed to the teeth had to sign the armistice agreement in 1953, and the Chinese and Dprk people won a great victory. In order to commend King Kong-hee's outstanding performance in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the higher-level party committee specially honored him twice for third-class meritorious service and awarded him the Meritorious Service Medal of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

When the volunteer army returned home with a victorious step, he experienced the baptism of war and carried a great longing for his hometown and relatives, but he received a glorious task.

In order to commemorate the Korean People's Liberation War and the friendship between the Chinese and Korean peoples condensed with blood, the Workers' Party of Korea decided to establish the Korean Motherland Liberation War Memorial Hall. To this end, the Political Department of the Volunteer Army sent King Kong Hee, together with other comrades, to Pyongyang to participate in the preparation of the exhibition hall of the Chinese Volunteer Army in the memorial hall. In the exhibition hall of our volunteer army, many pictures, objects, and weapons captured from the aggressors are displayed in the heroic battles of the volunteers to resist aggression and defend peace. In particular, the exhibition hall also displays pictures of the internationalist fighter Luo Shengjiao's rescue of Korean children who fell into the water, as well as fragments of Qiu Shaoyun's unburned cotton jacket who died heroically in the fire. After the completion of the memorial, it attracted a large number of North Korean people to visit. During the period, Premier Zhou Enlai, Chen Yi, Zhang Wentian, and Su Yu also visited the area.

The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and defend the homeland, as the most unforgettable period of King Kong Xi's military career, will always be engraved in his heart.

In September 1963, the Korean Drama Observation Group came to China to study the drama "Sentinel under Neon Lights". Premier Zhou was going to meet them in Zhongnanhai. At this time, JingAngxi, who was already serving as a captain in the political department of the Shenyang Military Region, was selected as Premier Zhou as an interpreter. "When I walked into Premier Zhou's office and stood in front of the prime minister, I was nervous and excited, my ears were full of the sound of my heartbeat, and the sweat was unconsciously stained with the palms of my hands. But in the prime minister's bright eyes, there was a kind light, like the warm sun in winter, which made me quickly get rid of my nervousness and enter the working state. Speaking of this, Elder Jin's expression was full of peace and joy.

"During the talks with foreign guests, the premier paid great attention to mastering the rhythm of speech, was very considerate of me, stopped every time he said two sentences, and made gestures to ask me to translate into Korean, and the prime minister's move made my translation go very smoothly." During the break, Premier Zhou also praised me for my good translation and asked me which university graduated. At that time, I shyly replied: I have not gone to college and work in the Political Department of the Shenyang Military Region. Unexpectedly, the prime minister was very happy, patted me the shoulder, smiled and said, the army is a big school! Then the Prime Minister asked about my age and family... At this moment, a stream of heat instantly flowed through my whole body. How much the Prime Minister, who is full of opportunities, cares about me! ”

"Mo Dao sunset night, for the Xia still full of sky." In August 1994, King Kong-hee retired from work. During the war, he experienced the tests of gunfire, gunfire, bullets, and life and death, and in every battle, there will be comrades-in-arms around him, which will make him unforgettable; in the era of peace, the motherland is becoming more and more prosperous, living and working in peace and contentment, and in a peaceful place, it is all the more necessary to let the masses of the people, especially the young people, understand that the achievements of revolution and construction are not easy to come by, and must not forget yesterday, cherish today, dedicate their youth, and forge tomorrow. To this end, he was determined to devote himself to the propaganda of party history and military history in the rest of his retirement life, and to do his utmost to carry forward the party's glorious traditions and educate future generations. After that, he actively contacted the Provincial Customs Work Committee, and together with 14 other veteran comrades of the Volunteer Army, he established the Volunteer Army Veterans ReportIng Group, and took the initiative to ask Miao to serve as the head of the reporting group. Since the establishment of the report group, he has walked into more than 300 schools, enterprises and institutions, made more than 500 reports, and the audience reached more than 70,000 people, which caused a good response in the society. In 2013, the Volunteer Veterans ReportIng Mission was also invited by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to participate in the activities and was received by Chairman Kim Jong-un.

Time flies, and the years are like songs. Today, when we once again recall through the movie "Chosin Lake" the war-torn and prosperous years of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, we must not forget those revolutionary predecessors such as King Kong Xi, and it was precisely because of their birth and death that they had today's years of tranquility. A generation has a generation's mission, and a generation has a generation's responsibility. Please also rest assured that the sons and daughters of China in the new era will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, not afraid of sacrifice, continue to struggle, and make our motherland always prosperous and prosperous, and the country will be safe and secure!
