On this day in history (August 10), Emperor Liu Che of the Han Dynasty was born, Cavour, one of the founding masters of Italy, the father of ballistic missiles, Robert Goddard, died, and the Magellan space probe entered the orbit of Venus...

Today, I will focus on the following two things.

On August 10, 1874, the 31st President of the United States, Herbert Clark Hoover, was born.

On this day in history, America's worst president, Hoover, was born and Charlemagne's empire was divided into three

As one of the worst presidents of the United States, he became rich by stealing Chinese coal mines and destroyed the country after 4 years in power.

On March 4, 1929, when Hoover took office, he also made a wish to completely eliminate poverty in the Us economy, every American ate chicken every day, and two cars were wheeled, who knew that just after the beautiful blueprint was drawn, the New York stock market was shaken.

In October 1929, there was a great collapse, and the economic crisis that swept through the Western world broke out!

If it is said that catching up with this economic crisis belongs to President Hoover's bad luck, but after the crisis broke out, his performance was not to die.

The stock market collapsed, or refused to bail out the market, unemployed workers filled the streets, or refused government relief, and all that came out of the mouth full of thoughts was the cliché of the era of free economy.

Of course, there were also good wishes that kept inspiring the American people to overcome difficulties, but at that time, the United States was already a mess:

In American cities, the poor set up board sheds to live, known as Hoover Village, the newspaper covered by the homeless people on the street, also known as the Hoover blanket, Hoover's reputation is even more stinky street.

New York children's songs are sung: Hoover rings the bell, America rushes to hell.

Because of Hoover's serious failure to deal with the economic crisis, the US economy fell into a total collapse, a large number of workers lost their jobs, and the whole society was in chaos, and Hoover's reputation plummeted, and he was ridiculed by the people as a "hungry president".

To this day, the Great Depression of Hoover's presidency still makes Americans "talk about the tiger", and he has been repeatedly rated as one of the worst presidents by polls.

The Treaty of Verdun was signed, and the Charlemagne Empire was divided into three.

On this day in history, America's worst president, Hoover, was born and Charlemagne's empire was divided into three

Speaking of Germany, Italy, and France, everyone knows that these three countries are the three important countries in Western Europe, especially Germany and France, and they are the leaders of Western European countries, but everyone may not think that these three countries were originally one before, but because of a treaty that changed their three countries.

On August 10, 843, the three sons of Louis I, the Carolingian Emperor of the Carolingians, signed the treaty of Verdun in Verdun (in present-day northeastern France).

This treaty was the first stage of the collapse of Charlemagne's Empire and heralded the formation of modern Western European states.

The treaty demarcated the borders into the Kingdom of West Francia (843–987), the Kingdom of Middle Francia (843–855) and the Kingdom of East Francia (843–911).

After the adjustment of the Treaty of Morsen in 870, it became the prototype of the kingdom of France, the kingdom of Italy and the first German Empire.
