YooA recently made his solo debut with his debut mini-album, Bon Voyage. YooA said of his performance: "I don't just want to bring beautiful performances to everyone, but I want to create a unique performance that reminds people of what they have forgotten. When she first heard the song, YooA said she imagined a wolf girl who grew up in the forest, completely cut off from the world. After imagining the movements and habits of a wild but pure character, YooA tried her best to express them through performance. "I even tried to live offstage as this wolf girl." She revealed. "I might look like a lunatic. But I don't eat grass! She added with a smile. In the interview, everyone said that they were moved to tears by her performance and praised her performance as a composite work of art. YooA expressed a desire to break down K-pop barriers, saying: "I hope that the prejudice that K-pop artists must sing or dance in some way can be removed." To be honest, I find it scary to say these things because people might think I'm a person who is arrogant about my art.
She also said: "As a person, I can't help but experience obstacles, so I think I've always wanted to escape from those obstacles." I don't want to be stuck in the barriers I've set up. Dance is a way to give YooA a way to exercise freedom. She noted that she recently started learning modern dance and is excited to dance freely to her own pace. When asked if there were any words or phrases she used regularly, YooA chose "thank you" and "happiness." She explains: "I live for happiness and I work hard to achieve it. I want everyone to be happy. That's why I'm a singer.
YooA met many other artists during the promotion of her solo album, but she chose ShiNee's Taimin as the artist who made an impression on her. "I end up watching him rehearse and perform a lot," she said. He's the one who pulled out the kind of vibe I was looking for perfectly. At the end of the interview, YooA asked: If "Oh My Girl" had a documentary, what would be the name? YooA said the title she had in mind was "The Ugly Duckling." The Ugly Duckling was a loner from childhood because he was different from others, and later found himself a beautiful swan, she commented. Oh My Girl is like that.
