Zhao Bin's solo exhibition "Thinking and Thinking" was grandly opened at Dongyue Art Museum

On October 9, 2021, Zhao Bin's solo exhibition "Remembering and Thinking" hosted by Fang Qingping was grandly opened at Dongyue Art Museum, which showed the conditions of Beijing in the 1970s and 1980s, and interpreted the painter Zhao Bin's nostalgia for Beijing's beautiful past.

Curator Hui Gong introduced in detail the creation of the painter Zhao Bin, and each of his works is full of the painter's love for life and the city of Beijing, as well as his thoughts and good wishes for art, culture, and life.

Zhao Bin said: "[Nian • Think] solo exhibition, this is also the first solo exhibition in my life, the big girl on the car, the first time, just show my painting of the past of Beijing, there are memory creation, there are memory sketches, showing my indelible good memories of Beijing." The birth of the "Beijing Past" series of paintings is an image reminiscence of Zhao Bin's search for his own life process and confirmation of his own cultural identity after returning to Beijing, and it is also the foundation work of him giving up other business opportunities and ideological distractions and choosing to be a professional artist. In this batch of paintings full of fireworks, Zhao Bin uses the hutongs, streets and buildings of old Beijing as the background, and slowly unfolds a historical picture of secular life, presenting us with the shortcomings and joys and sorrows of the parents of the common people. Among them, there are scenes of people walking and walking, as well as gatherings to eat, drink and have fun; there are haircuts on the street, and there are also children and grandchildren at home; there are idle leisure and busy figures... Of course, there are also some celebrity anecdotes in his pictures. However, whether it is an important character or a major theme, zhao Bin's pen has been secularized and lived, and integrated into leisure time and all sentient beings.

The works exhibited in this exhibition focus on Zhao Bin's representative old Beijing memory works, presenting his reflections on art and sincere feelings for the times and the people. From different aspects, the exhibition works show Beijing, a city that embodies humanistic feelings, and show the spirit of the times through different characters.
