Cooper was born in Los Angeles, where his father, Jose Jackson, was a sports field administrator at UCLA and his mother was a hospital clerk. And his cousin Teren Delvon Jones is a member of the rap group Hieroglyphics. At the age of 16, Ace Cooper became interested in hip-hop music and began writing lyrics. In the fall of 1987, Ace Cooper entered the Phoenix Institute of Technology to study architectural drafting. Soon after, Ace Cooper and his friend Sir Jinx formed the rap group C.I.A., which he performed at a gala organized by Drey. Dr. Drey met and met Ace Cooper when he was 14 years old, when Drey was 19 years old. Drey was involved in the recording industry early on and was involved in recording world class Wreckin' Cru. In 1987, Ace Cooper collaborated with Drey to release the single "My Posse". Subsequently, Ace Cooper showed Eazy-E the lyrics for the single Boyz-n-the-Hood. Eazy-E initially refused, but eventually accepted the lyrics from Ace Cooper and recorded music for rap group N.W.A.'s debut album, N.W.A. and the Posse. By this time, Ace Cooper was already a member of the N.W.A., becoming a full-time rap artist. In 1988, N.W.A. released his representative album Straight Outta Compton, most of which was composed by Ace Cooper. However, by the end of 1989, Ace Cooper rejected N.W.A.'s request for a renewal due to disagreements with N.W.A. agent Jerry Heller. Subsequently, it was learned that the agent Jerry Heller still owed him part of the honorarium, and Ace Cooper put it to justice. In response, the N.W.A. attacked Ace Cooper in its EP 100 Miles and Runnin', as well as on its next and final album, Efil4zaggin.

In late 1989, Cooper collaborated with record recording group The Bomb Squad to release his debut solo album AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted in 1990. The album was a huge success, continued to sell well, and set off a rap boom in the United States. But at the same time, Ace Cooper is being charged with the misogynistic and racist content of the album. That same year, Ace Cooper released the critically acclaimed EP Kill At Will, which was also a big hit and became the first yellow and white gold album in a hip-hop album. Ace Cooper's 1991 album Death Certificate was more high-profile but also more controversial. Because the album contained anti-white, anti-Semitic, and misogynistic content, Ace Cooper was again accused of inciting racial tensions.

After The Predator, Ace Cooper's music showed a downward trend and its fans were dwindling. His 1993 album Lethal Injection did not receive much acclaim after its release. However, subsequent albums, including Really Doe, Bop Gun (One Nation), You Know How We Do It, and What Can I Do?, have all achieved good results.

After 1994, Ace Cooper began to turn his attention to the film industry and develop other rap artists such as Mack 10, Mr. Short Khop, Kausion, Da Lench Mob, and others.
