I was only planning a one-night stay in ShaXian County, so I booked a hotel with a relatively affordable price. I have seen the room on the Internet, although it is old, but it is not unacceptable. But when I went up to the hallway of the room on the second floor alone, the nightmare began.

I took a look at the introductory cooking table, a row of shaxian snacks I have not seen, I really don't know how to order, did not do homework in advance, I randomly ordered a crystal roast, pot sticker dumplings, bamboo shoot cakes, spring rolls, plus a bowl of sour and spicy soup.
The snacks on the plate are so solid that I can eat them all alone. But after trying it, I was relieved, because these snacks were really not very appetizing to me.
At first glance, the crystals in the photo are sold, and the steamed translucent rice skin is wrapped in the same crystal clear rice fans. Probably the material is not expensive, and there are 10 ping-pong ball-sized roasts sold. In order not to waste food, I want the hostess to give less, but people are not happy. Crystal yakitori is dull and tasteless, and it needs to be dipped in a bowl of fish sauce, but even so, the taste can still be described as boring.
The pot sticker is actually a fried dumpling, and although the dough is thick, the meat filling of the bun is sincere. This hour's pot sticker has long been left in a large enamel basin for a while, completely without the freshly baked oily pot gas, only the grease after being cooled. I only asked the lady boss to taste one, fortunately as long as one, this spring roll is really no different from what is eaten outside.
Bamboo shoot sandwich cake is more distinctive, planed sesame shortbread can choose two kinds of filling, one is red rotten bamboo shoot meat, the other is tamales. It is estimated that the people who come are ordinary tourists who do not know how to make a choice, and the clerk simply said that if you want to try it, you can stuff half of a piece of cake, and this is the only one I finished eating.
My favorite, on the other hand, is the bowl of sour and spicy soup that is not very appetizing.
There are probably wood ear shreds, bamboo shoots, sub ginger shreds, and chicken shreds, ginger flavor is strong, sour and refreshing stomach stimulation straight to the brain marrow, spicy taste makes me instantly awake, sour taste makes the greasy disappear. Of course, there are also noodles and brine dishes that are common in Shaxian fly restaurants scattered all over the country, but I will most likely not order a meal here to see what the difference is. Instead, the garlic hot sauce that can be added to each table is the same as that eaten outside.
This full plate of snacks checkout is only 29 yuan, which is indeed a large and real discount. But half of the food on the plate has not been eaten, and it looks like a waste, which is probably one of the drawbacks of a person's travel.
Versailles-style bridge
After eating I decided to take a walk along the river to digest. Although Shaxian is just a very ordinary county, the cleanliness of the streets is very high. Probably this side belongs to the Mountain City area, after the rain in Shaxian County, Linjiang has a unique mountain fog and airing feeling. I don't know if Shaxian counts as a minnan region, but there are almost no accents unique to minnan.
When I first passed from the airport to the end of the county, I passed a Versailles-style bridge that attracted my attention, and I checked the map and did not find out what the name of the bridge was, just the bridge was facing the store of Lee Kee Snacks that had just finished eating. Continue walking along the river, there is actually a Wenchang Three Holy Temple on the side of the river. Given that I know very little about Taoism, I literally understand it as a deity who is in charge of his studies.
How long the temple's history is unknown, but the building has been groomed to be decent and sturdy by later generations. But even if it's a temple, the extra space that can be used for business functions can't be wasted. As a result, space on both sides of the temple is used efficiently, with a housing agent on one side and a motorcycle repair on the other.
One side of the Three Holy Temples can continue to walk to the grandstand closer to the location of the river, and from the position close to the river surface, the dazzling light effects on both sides of the river can be clearly seen. On the top of the hill opposite the river is a traditional Chinese pavilion, which is particularly eye-catching under the changing color lights, and there is also a boardwalk that changes color with the lights.
But looking to the other side, the brilliant warm-colored European-style Versailles Bridge, which is only a few tens of meters away, and the traditional Chinese-style buildings on both sides of the strait where they are standing at this time, show a touch of magic.
It was not early at this time, I did not plan to continue to walk, the alley behind the hotel, is a deliberately transformed community. Shaxian is an ancient city, and it can be seen that it is eager to build a place with sightseeing value.
I was reluctant to go back to the musty room, but by this time I was exhausted and just wanted to wash up and sleep. When I returned, several rooms across the corridor were also occupied by tourists, and I glanced at the room with the door open, and the difference between the riverside room and the room I was living in now was not too different. But what I care about at this time is not this, what I care about is that this hotel is finally a little popular.
I turned the room air conditioner to the minimum, trying to remove the moisture from the room as soon as possible, but I thanked me for the exhaustion of my body that night, the musty smell on the top and the wet bedding, and could not stop my desire to sleep as soon as possible.
The next morning I woke up at six o'clock, got up and took a hot shower to remove the musty smell of the whole night, and went downstairs for breakfast. The temple gate flat meat next to the hotel seems to be very famous, I asked the lady owner what is flat meat, the lady said that flat meat is wontons. Ordered a bowl, finished eating still did not impress. Although it is still four hours before the high-speed train to Fuzhou, I can't wait to wipe my mouth and go back to the hotel to pack my bags, and the journey has just begun.
