"A small 'political birthday' card for party members reflects the concern of the party organization for our veteran comrades in the military, and we will continue to carry forward the party's fine traditions and consciously achieve retirement without fading and leaving the party." Yang Zhi, 93, said.

Recently, the office of the Baiyun District Veterans Affairs Bureau received a thank-you call from several veteran party members, including retired military cadres Liu Zhennian, Zhang Chunren, Yang Zhi, and Li Xu, thanking the staff for the exquisitely made "political birthday of party members" greeting cards and good wishes.
Since the study and education of party history was launched, the Baiyun District Veterans Affairs Bureau has organized and carried out a "political birthday" activity for party members of retired military cadres, and the leaders and leaders of the bureau have led a team to visit and comfort the retired party members who joined the party in the same month or quarter, send them "political birthday" greeting cards and political birthday wishes, inquire about the physical health of old party members, living conditions, etc., coordinate and solve the difficult problems existing in old comrades under the prevention and control of the epidemic, solicit their opinions and suggestions on the management of military retirement services, and let the old comrades feel the warmth of the organization.
It has been learned that the Baiyun District Veterans Affairs Bureau currently serves and manages 627 retired veteran comrades of the army, and there are more than 300 veteran party members who have been in the party for more than 50 years; among them are revolutionary predecessors who participated in the Liaoshen Campaign, the liberation of Hainan Island, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and there are also retired veteran comrades who have made positive contributions to national defense construction on all fronts of the army, and they are all valuable assets of the party and the state.
While providing service guarantees for retired military cadres and sending warmth to retired military cadres to solve problems, the District Veterans Affairs Bureau also encouraged all retired military cadres to actively participate in the study and education of party history, give full play to their own advantages and strengths, and make more contributions to telling the "red story" well and carrying forward the revolutionary tradition. Tell the story of their own revolution for more than 300 party members and cadres, continue the red blood, and inherit the red gene.
