Chen Wenxi criticized the DPP for "having a harder heart than iron": every day she only reads polls, and under the epidemic situation, she thinks about the next election

After the outbreak of the epidemic in Taiwan in May this year, the DPP authorities have repeatedly caused controversy over relevant policies. Chen Wenxi, a veteran media person on the island, couldn't help but start writing criticism, saying that "for the first time, I felt that there was a 'government' that was harder than iron and stone", only looking at her own polls every day, thinking about the next election under the spread of the epidemic.

Chen Wenqian

Chen Wenqian said on Facebook yesterday that in the past nine months, she has worried about the shortage of vaccines in Taiwan, and has criticized the government for taking Taiwanese vaccines as the core strategy for epidemic prevention, but she has also been grateful to the government and the people for doing such a good job in epidemic prevention; and when the epidemic resumes, she has also gone through several stages, painstakingly informing influential people of the terrible consequences of not having enough vaccines.

Later, she saw the vaccination order, and the DPP authorities ranked themselves in second place, and even high-risk epidemic prevention personnel, including customs and ambulance personnel, who directly contacted the infected people, were in the third order. Chen Wenxi said that she began to write criticism from worry, and then gradually got to know our "government".

"This is not the island I was born on and I knew." Chen Wenxi said that in too many details of governance, from vaccine procurement, vaccination order, etc., to finding reasons to prevent general screening, deliberately not giving medical institutions the best European standard N95 masks, inventing an internationally unused N95 standard mask, just to make money for secondary mask manufacturers, it is simply ignoring medical care.

Chen Wenxi mentioned that Taiwan was once ruled by authoritarianism, but the authoritarian "government" will pave the way for the economy and the people's lives, leaving a science park. When SARS broke out, Ye Jinchuan, former director of the Taipei Municipal Health Bureau, bravely walked into the Peace Hospital to direct the overall situation, Chen Shui-bian gave the medical staff the best equipment, and orderly let the special hospital be set up immediately; Ma Ying-jeou agreed that the then "chief executive" Liu Zhaoxuan proposed public land to Tzu Chi and World Vision to build a permanent new home for the victims.

Today, Chen Wenqian laments that "this is no longer the Taiwan I know," and the past leaders all had deficiencies or merits that could be discussed, but when the people were poor and suffering, at least they knew that at this moment they had to suffer from the people.

Chen Wenqian said bluntly that this is the first time she feels that there is a "government" that is harder than iron stones, looking at the fearful people with disdain, moving the vaccine to her own team, ordering and buying less international vaccines that can be bought, and without shame, it is more to prevent the private sector from donating vaccines, not agreeing to enterprises to purchase vaccines for their own self-help, only watching their own polls every day, thinking about the next election under the spread of the epidemic.
