On October 13, iQIYI Mist Theater's sixth work, "Octagonal Pavilion Mystery Fog", will be launched, which will also open the new season of the Mist Theater in 2021. This year, four dramas will be launched, namely "Octagonal Pavilion Mystery Mist", "Who is the Murderer", "Gold Rush" and "Fatal Wish".
Continuing the style of the Mist Theater, the four dramas are explored in the genre of suspense and criminal investigation, but there are also differences, such as the "Octagonal Pavilion Mist" and "Who is the Murderer" that were first launched, starting from the unusual experience of ordinary families, perhaps a case many years ago, or maybe just a small disharmony within the family, like a sand in the mussel meat, being licked bitterly day after day.

Judging from the "Octagonal Pavilion Mist" that was first broadcast, the family structure focused on in the story is relatively complex: a family of four, the brother and two younger sisters have reached middle age, infertility, infidelity, family discord, each has its own troubles. However, these small troubles are not as bad as the blows that their sister was killed in the lake many years ago when she was 18 years old. Nineteen years later, my brother's daughter was 18 years old, and she was exactly like the sister who had been killed that year, and then new murders occurred and new incidents emerged. The other two, one is "Gold Rush", the producer of the show revealed that the project was adapted from a Tianya post called "1986 Gold Rush", which originally had some light fantasy, time-lapse elements, and then iQiyi and the screenwriter worked together to adapt the original text. In the current "Gold Rush", the male protagonist played by Chen Feiyu is called Bao Jin, he wants to find his brother, breaks into the misty forest of gold panning, meets Liao Fan, and the mine manager played by Su Ke, and is involved in the struggle between gangs... This story tells the story of a relatively closed and unique environment, driven by human desire, the display of human nature.
Adaptation of "The Tale of the Spirits of Nadeaux", Fatal Wishes is a more alternate, fantastical story in which a WISHER software appears in exchange for wishes.
iQiyi said that it hopes that audiences have different expectations and gains for different episodes. "Octagonal Pavilion Mystery Fog" focuses on "family suspense" to show the influence of family on growth; "Who is the murderer" dissects "human nature suspense", recreates the dusty suspense, and shows the persistence throughout generations; "Gold Rush" is "adventure hunting", cracking the identity secret of "owl" in the dangerous gold panning process; "Fatal Wish" is a series of stories about desire triggered by a mobile phone software.
In 2020, the Mist Theater broke the circle as a label of high-quality suspense short dramas, and launched five episodes of "Ten Day Game", "Hidden Corner", "Very Witness", "In the Doom" and "The Silent Truth", both the platform and the public have high hopes for the Mist Theater.
