Liu Guijuan
Liu Guijuan has been spiritually talented since childhood, learned Yangqin, and was admitted to the Tianjin Opera School in 1975, the youngest of the classmates in this class. The first play she learned was the "Selling Son" in the modern Peking Opera "Six Gates", playing Hu Er's wife, taught by Lin Yumei, a Chengpai Qingyi who had worshiped Xun Huisheng as a teacher. After that, Liu Guijuan successively learned more than a dozen plays such as "Three High-Fives", "He Hou Scolding Hall", "Yutang Spring", "Great Detective II", "Noble Concubine Drunk", etc., and tolerated Qingyi, Hua Dan, and Dao Ma Dan.
Shangpai male Dan Sun Ronghui taught Liu Guijuan "Zhaojun Out of the Plug", asked her to practice running round field, plucking plumes, kicking legs, in 1980 Tianjin Young Actors Basic Skills Show, Liu Guijuan won the first prize for this play. She also learned "June Snow" with Tao Hanxiang, a descendant of Cheng Pai, read a book introducing Cheng Yanqiu's art, watched the video of Cheng Pai's famous actor Li Shiji performing "June Snow", and won the first prize for this play in the 1982 citywide youth show.
In "June Snow", Liu Guijuan plays Dou E, her voice is sweet and clear, in the main singing sections such as the erhuang slow plate, the sharp group, the four voices, the voice, and the rhyme are relatively clear and thorough, singing the dragging cavity of sorrow and sorrow, such as crying, if intermittent, can convey affection with sound, better portraying the artistic image of Dou E, who is full of grievances and rebellious spirits, and the workmanship is also more delicate, in addition to the artistic characteristics of the Cheng school.
In March 1983, the 25th anniversary of Cheng Yanqiu's death was held at the Capital People's Theater, and Liu Guijuan performed "Sitting in Prison" in "June Snow", this year she was 18 years old, the youngest actor to participate in this Cheng Pai special performance. After graduating from the drama school, the Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe was established, and Liu Guijuan became one of the leading actors. Li Shiji was invited to Tianjin to process the two plays of "Chen Sanliang Climbing Hall" and "Red Mane Horse" for Liu Guijuan, and Liu Guijuan kept improving and did not dare to be sloppy.
At that time, the Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe rehearsed a newly compiled historical drama "Five Women Xingtang", adapted and created by Wang Weizhong, writing that at the beginning of the founding of the Tang Dynasty, Yang Zheng, the king of the Sui Dynasty, was firmly guarding Jingzhou, Tang Shuai Li Anyuan and his wife Cheng Yuanzhen led a crusade, Li Anyuan was assassinated, Cheng Yuanzhen Daifu provoked the Shuai Banner, sent Pei Ying to dress as a man to mix into Jingzhou to spy on military intelligence, met Yang Cuiqing, the daughter of Yang Zheng who changed into men's clothes, Yang Cuiqing had a crush on Pei Ying, Pei Ying mixed into the Dingguo Palace, happened to meet his lost sister Pei Hua, and declared great righteousness to Yang Cuiqing and his mother. Persuaded Yang Zheng to return Jingzhou to Tang. The drama has ups and downs, and the "five girls" in the play are played by young actors Li Peihong, Lei Ying, Liu Guijuan, Liu Shuyun, and Lan Wenyun, who are in the daoma, Qingyi, Boudomen, Hua Dan, and Lao Dan, which can be described as tailor-made and become a masterpiece.
Cheng Pai is the "high rank" in Danjiao, and Liu Guijuan herself has excellent conditions and can perform. The Wang Baojun she played in "Red Mane Horse" was personally taught by the famous Cheng Pai li shiji and the famous pianist Tang Zaiju and his wife. Li Shiji and his wife led the troupe to perform at the Tianjin First Workers' Cultural Palace, and after the end of the performance, they transferred to Cangzhou to perform, and Li Shiji and Tang Zaizhuo took Liu Guijuan and her young pianist Wang Yue to Cangzhou to accompany the troupe to talk and tutor. In Cangzhou for more than ten days, Li Shiji and his wife taught singing, body, and bow methods every day, and arranged homework for practicing singing, practicing, and practicing the piano. After that, Li Shiji and Tang Zaijue passed through Tianjin several times to watch Liu Guijuan starring in "Red Mane Horse" and "accept" Wang Yue's Jinghu accompaniment technique, which can be described as painstaking.
Cheng Pai's singing voice is deep, generous and low, mostly in the middle and bass lines, which is most suitable for portraying wang Baojun, an ancient woman who is not expensive, not inferior to poverty, chaste and self-respecting. Liu Guijuan's slow singing of Pai Xipi in the middle of "Wujiapo" is not only a few folds, low back euphemisms, such as crying like a complaint, but also vibrato decoration, rhythm jumping magic. Her various water sleeve dance postures when she stood on the slope and talked, the stable round field seen in the rapidity of running the slope, and the crouching fish crouch when she entered the cold kiln sideways, are all a gentle and moving taste of Chengpai.
"Suolin Capsule" is also Liu Guijuan's best play, for the play of Xue Xiangling in different situations of the performance level grasp just right, "makeup selection", "Spring and Autumn Pavilion", "Pearl Tower", "Reunion" and other performances frequently highlighted, "Spring and Autumn Pavilion Outside" and "Seven Emotions in a Flash" The famous singing sections of each section are even Li Shiji's true biography, and the strength and softness are wrong, and the beauty is brilliant. In November 1987, tianjin actors Lan Wenyun and Liu Guijuan won the Best Performance Award, and Meng Guanglu, Li Zhanying and Lei Ying won the Outstanding Performance Award.
In December 2001, at the age of 68, Li Shiji and his apprentice Liu Guijuan performed "Suolin Capsule" at the China Grand Theatre in Tianjin. Li Shiji first appeared in the "Spring and Autumn Pavilion", and each sentence of "Spring and Autumn Pavilion Outside the Storm" was sung by one or two colors, and the "reunion" also played very well. Liu Guijuan is not far away from Li Shiji in the background, and she is particularly humble when she is usually full of vigor.
In June 2006, Liu Guijuan was invited by California State University to perform at the university and held a lecture on the art of Chinese Peking Opera. The Lincoln Center for the Arts in the United States selected Liu Guijuan as the most outstanding artist in Asia of the year, and Zhang Junqiu, Yuan Shihai, Mei Baojiu, Red Line Woman, Fu Cong, Yo-Yo Ma, Luo Dayou, Zhang Guorong, Aaron Kwok, Guo Degang and others have all won this honor.
Beijing Television station once had a "Starry Night Story Show" column, specially invited Guo Degang and Liu Guijuan to get together, talk about artistic life, talk about interesting things in front of the stage and behind the scenes, involving some intriguing phenomena in the opera and opera art circles, witty and humorous dialogues made the scene constantly burst into laughter, and at the end of the program, the two sang a section of "Sitting palace".
Liu Guijuan played little love to sing, in the 1985 Tianjin "Hope Cup" pop song grand prix, Liu Guijuan won the award, and published a tape with Li Delin, a roadside guitar team in Tianjin. She also dabbled in opera television, playing Liu Jincia in "Bao Longtu - Visiting yin and judging" and Wang Yulian in "The Death of Yulian". In December 1987, more than 20 actors from the Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe, quyi troupe and youth Peking Opera troupe formed a condolence group to go to Laoshan to offer condolences, and Liu Guijuan, Ma Zhiming, Xie Tianshun, Xu Lili, Niu Bao, etc. were all in the troupe.
She is also a fan, the Chinese football team qualified for the World Cup for the first time, losing 0:1 to New Zealand in Kuala Lumpur, and teenage Liu Guijuan wandered the road late at night for more than two hours, tearing as she walked.
