On October 21, the first fully autonomous and controllable all-flash, green and low-carbon artificial intelligence computing center in China, the Zhongyuan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, was officially launched in Xuchang City, Henan Province, and its planning and construction hashrate capacity of up to 300P.

Zhongyuan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center is located in Xuchang Zhongyuan Electric Valley Yellow River Kunpeng Science and Technology Innovation Base, of which the first phase of 100P computing power scale has been completed, will provide computing power supply for Henan artificial intelligence industry, effectively empower intelligent manufacturing, smart agriculture, intelligent networked vehicles, intelligent electricity, etc.

At the beginning of this year, the Xuchang Municipal Government and Huawei reached a cooperation agreement to invest in the construction of the "Zhongyuan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center" by the Xuchang Municipal Investment Corporation. As a major equipment supplier and O&M operator, Huawei is responsible for importing resources related to the artificial intelligence industry, and with the help of Zhengzhou's "Ascend Artificial Intelligence Ecological Innovation Center", the two places will jointly build a "National Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Pilot Zone" to create a leading AI industry cluster in China.

Compared with the artificial intelligence computing centers under construction or preparation in Hubei, Shaanxi and other provinces and cities such as Dalian and Nanjing, the Zhongyuan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center has three major characteristics: First, it is independent and controllable, and the entire computing center is from computing, networking, storage to management software, all of which are domestically independently developed and controlled, and information security is controllable. The second is the leading technology, the computing center uses the world's fastest AI training cluster Atlas 900 (Atlas 900), 10 seconds faster than the original world record, 15% higher than the world's second place, and the powerful computing power can be widely used in scientific research and business innovation such as intelligent manufacturing, smart agriculture, unmanned driving, and urban governance. The third is green and low-carbon, to create an all-flash data center, compared with other types of storage devices, power energy consumption is reduced by 70%, storage efficiency is increased by 35%, space occupation is saved by 50%, and the total cost of data centers is reduced by 30%. The use of all-flash memory throughout the computing center will reduce carbon emissions by 25 million tons. At the same time, the use of photovoltaic and computing centers of natural complementarity, the computing center and renewable energy integration construction.
