Brides in Kyrgyzstan are robbed, and there are roughly two forms of bride snatching.
One is the mutual admiration between men and women, who direct and perform a farce of "wife snatching" according to traditional customs, and eventually marry a good relationship, but this situation is few.
In another case, the man's elaborate "kidnapping" without the woman's knowledge: when the man reaches marriage age, he and his family will choose a woman, and the bride-to-be and his male relatives and friends will go and kidnap the girl and enter the door.
Later, the older woman in the family persuaded the girl to agree to the marriage. Some families will even imprison the girl for days to wear down her will. In case the girl resolutely does not comply will let her go. If the marriage is beneficial to the families of both the man and the woman or is generally accepted by society, the woman's family will advise the girl to stay in the man's home.
