Then let's look at the phrase "a moment of spring supper is worth a thousand gold".
Modern people like to use the phrase "a moment of spring supper is worth thousands of dollars" to bless the newlyweds. In fact, if we understand the cause and effect of this sentence, we will feel that it is somewhat unusual to use it to bless the newlyweds.
"A moment of spring supper is worth a thousand gold" comes from a poem "Spring Su" by the great literary scholar Su Shi of the Song Dynasty, and the whole poem is as follows:
"A moment of spring supper is worth thousands of gold, and the flowers have a fragrance and a moon and a yin." The sound of the song pipe floor is thin, and the swing courtyard is dark at night. ”
It can be seen that the next sentence of "a moment of spring supper is worth thousands of gold" is "flowers have a fragrance and a moon and a yin". Guess right friends, please raise your hands!
What does this poem mean? It means that the spring night is too short and too precious, because the flowers emit a delicate fragrance and the moonlight casts a hazy shadow. The sound of singing and singing can be heard in the tall buildings, and the courtyard with swings is silent.
As we all know, Su Shi's poetry and song are all-encompassing, and calligraphy and painting are a family of their own. Especially good at poetry, the style is wanton, heroic and unrestrained, rich in themes, open in artistic conception, a wash of the late Tang Dynasty, five generations since the "sound of elegance", creating a bold and clear school. In this "Spring Supper", Su Shi changed his uninhibited style and described the charming scenery of the spring night with a fresh brush, but the foothold was to satirize the luxurious life of the rich and powerful people of the official eunuchs, revealing his deep condemnation of drunken dreams and death, coveting pleasure, and sparing no time.
You see, the whole poem doesn't have the meaning of "spring supper" as we understand it now, and it has nothing to do with newlyweds.
