AK-47 automatic rifle, full name Kalashnikov 1947 automatic rifle (Russian: 1947-год Автомат Калашниккова; English: AK-47 Assault rifle), or simply The Kashi 47 rifle, was designed by Soviet firearms designer Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov. AK-47 is reliable in breeching action, good service, solid and durable, low failure rate, whether in high temperature or low temperature conditions, shooting performance is very good; especially can be used in wind sand and mud water, reliable performance; simple structure, easy decomposition. However, the disadvantage is that the muzzle of the gun rises seriously when firing continuously, which greatly affects the accuracy and the weight is relatively large. The AK-47 equipped by the Soviet Army was replaced by its improved AKM in the late 1950s, and the main extension of the AK-47 included AKM, RPK, AKMSU, AK-74, RPK-74, AKS74, AK-100, AK12 and several other categories.

The inventor of the world-famous AK-47 assault rifle, Mikhail Kalashnikov, died of illness on December 23, 2013.
Kalashnikov was born in 1919 and designed the AK-47 assault rifle in 1947. The AK-47 is recognized as the most widely used and produced assault rifle in the world, with an estimated production of more than 100 million units.
