Xue Yang graduated from Nanjing Academy of Arts with a master's degree in oil painting and is a national first-class artist. He is also a director of the Shenzhen Artists Association, a member of the Oil Painting Art Committee of the Shenzhen Artists Association and the vice president of the Shenzhen Young Artists Association, and is currently working at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen.

Xue Yang said that in her works, there is a kind of silent "companionship", just like books and movies are an indispensable part of people's lives. When she created Lonely Planet, she couldn't bear the characters in the picture, so she chose the leopard, a perfect and independent creature, as his companion. The peculiarity of this "companionship" is that it is independent, but there is a power and bond between the two to give to each other. When people come into this world, they have to face a lot alone. But whatever happens, face it bravely, see the light from the rift, see the hope.
