There is a legend that after Gan Ning was killed, Tuomeng dreamed of an old fisherman, saying that he died under the big tree of Niutou Mountain in Wuxue Pantang on the other side of Fuchi, and the body had floated to the surface of the Fuchi River, because the first rank was taken away, hoping to try to bury the whole body.
Later, the fisherman really found Gan Ning's body, dragged it ashore, and used the head of a big fat head fish to attach it to the neck of Gan Ning's body, and buried it intact on the slope of the right bank of the Yangtze River under Daling Mountain.
