You are in Qingyan

Qingyan, the name of an ancient town. Only 29 kilometers away from Guizhou Provincial Capital Guiyang, but it is rare to get out of the mud without staining, modern urban civilization in this 29 kilometers of distance is greatly isolated, circulated for 600 years, the ancient town is still fully preserved in itself. Qingyan, which is very precious.

During the Ming Hongwu period, Qingyan was officially built for military purposes, because it was close to Miao Township, and the earliest use here was to suppress and supervise the local minority ethnic groups, but after its completion, it became a thoroughfare as far as Sichuan, Xiang, Yunnan, and Guizhou, and merchants had to pass through it. Later, the military value slowly weakened, Qingyan from the military point, gradually developed into a prosperous town, people prospered, commercial prosperity, so, the dual needs of the military and economics, Qingyan continued to develop, the achievement of this ancient town.

Meet two "Zhao"

On the day I went to Qingyan, because of the early morning, I entered the town at 8 o'clock and walked along the winding stone road, because Qingyan was built on the mountain, and I walked up the small slope. Suddenly, a majestic building suddenly appeared in front of me, and when I looked at the sign, I realized that this was Qingyan's pride and the famous Zhao Gong Ancestral Hall. This Zhao Gong, whose name was Zhao Guoshu, was the most authoritative person in Qingyan during the reign of the Qing Dynasty; he was only 37 years old, but he did several important things, one of which was that when he was 27 years old, he scattered his family wealth to rebuild Qingyan City and consolidated the defensive line south of Guiyang. In the fifth year of Xianfeng (1855 AD), Shi Dakai attacked Qingyan City six times without breaking through.

In the second year of Qing Tongzhi (1863), Zhao Guoshu was ordered to attack the national Denghua Sect in Baiyi and died of exhaustion when he reached Xujiayan in the present-day Wudang District. At the age of 37, the imperial court posthumously honored him as Taichang Shiqing (太常世卿), a knight lieutenant, and quasi-hereditary. He was passed down in the history of the country. This majestic ancestral hall was specially built for him by the people of Qingyan to thank him. On the left and right sides of the gate are written Jintang Pillar Stones, jintang symbolizes the impenetrable Qingyan City, which is impregnable; the pillars represent Qingyan to revitalize the town with culture and cultivate talents for the country. A bronze statue can be seen in the main hall, and the common people will often come to worship him, and gradually become a protective god.

In addition to this Zhao Guoshu, Qingyan also had another famous man surnamed Zhao. He was the first ruler on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau: Zhao Yijiong. His former residence is located at No. 1, Qingyan Zhuangyuan Street, which is ZhuangyuanFu. This is a glorious moment brought by a small town to a region, when the wheel of the imperial examination rolled over a thousand years, the land of Yungui was born in the Qing Dynasty, which is indeed a historical moment. It is no wonder that there are always tourists coming and going in the former residence of Zhuangyuan today, after all, who does not want the title of the gold list?

Three arches

Following qingyan's main street, Ming and Qing Street, from north to south, you will pass three stone arches. In the old days, there were eight arches in the four gates of Qingyan, but now only three remain, which is very precious. The three extant arches were all erected according to the "Holy Will", the earliest being the "Zhao Caizhang Baishoufang", which was built in June of the nineteenth year of Qingdao Guang (1839), and the "Zhao Lilun Baishoufang" was built in the twenty-third year of Qingdao Guang (1843), four years apart. The "Zhou Wang's daughter-in-law Liu ShiJie Xiaofang" was built in the eighth year of the Qing Dynasty (1869), 26 years after the construction of the "Zhao Caizhang Baishoufang". The architectural shape of these three arches is basically the same, all of which are four pillars and three rooms, three floors and four Ah Xiang style, 9 meters high and 9 meters wide, facing north and south, which belongs to the Qing Dynasty stone arch architectural style. Surprisingly, the three arches do not have a base groove, and the four rectangular pillar foundations stand directly on the ground, and they are erected for more than a hundred years. Zhao Caizhang Baishoufang, above the middle gate to the north is the Daoguang Emperor Qin gifted the "Seven Leaves Yanxiang" inscription, the beam pillar is some lifelike relief of flowers and plants, the beam has five cushion back trapezoidal stone piers, in the middle is an empty carved dragon Ao figure, north and south sides embedded with the holy will: standing plaque. The left and right stone piers face the yin carving "Hundred Years Old One" in the north, and the yin carving "Shengping Renrui" in the south. This archway was built for Zhao Caizhang's hundredth birthday, and in ancient times, very few people could live to be one hundred years old, and it was indeed rare to receive a plaque from the emperor. Who knows, four years later, the ancient town produced a centenarian - Zhao Lilun. This person was the High Ancestor of the Qingyan Emperor. The emperor still sent a holy decree: to erect a plaque. So there was Zhao Lilun Baishoufang. The same tin "Qiye Yanxiang" and "Shengping Renrui" titles. It can be seen that the influence of the Zhao family in the imperial court is great.

The shape of this archway is much more luxurious than that of Zhao Caizhangfang: there is an empty sculpture of "Two Dragons Grabbing Treasure" on the beam in the middle of the archway, the upper and lower sides of the horizontal plaque are empty carved double hundred fruit columns, and there are five trapezoidal cushion back stone piers above, and the middle is the empty carving "Dragon Ao Tu", which is embedded with the holy will: Standing Plaque (the same as Caizhangfang). The four stone piers on the left and right are reliefs of Chinese mythological figures with different appearances and exquisite appearances. Stone Pier Aba Top is in the shape of a "double shell empty column", and there are many prismatic patterns and "double ao pattern" empty carvings in the whole stone square. Baiguo and Ao both represent longevity elderly people, and double is two longevity elderly people. The most striking thing is the four pairs of pillared mountain lions, which are very different from the lions around the country. Lions everywhere are squatting or lying down, but here the lions are head down and feet up, the male lion presses the treasure, and the female lion holds the cub. It's rare. Different from these two arches, the Zhou Wang's daughter-in-law Liu's Filial Piety Fang is not a centenarian but a pair of mother-in-law, and the Zhou Wang's daughter-in-law Liu's Filial Piety Fang has drum guards on all four pillars, and there are exquisite "Two Dragons Grabbing Treasure" empty carvings on the middle beam. The beams and pillars above the plaque have reliefs "Lotus Flower Figures", which mean that the sludge is not stained. The cushion back stone is hollow carved with the "Five Dragon Figures" in the middle of the "Holy Will" plaque. The left and right sides of the four ballets are decorated with relief vases on both the north and south sides. There are several ancient books and vases in the whole stone square, and I think the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are also readers. The top of the stone square is in the shape of "double ao's reclining back with life". The archway has five pairs of yanglian. Among them, the northern pair of yanglian is:

Festival filial piety is a door, the mother's ceremony foot style, the female path can be completed, the Chanting Ofi Jing Room MSI, following the rope rope, still for Qianjiang to support the righteous qi.

Silk Lun Praise II, Hua Yu Chongqing, Longgang Re-Table, Lotus to the Heavenly Dynasty, Vigorous, Longer than Bao Tu Xiang Guang.

This painting tells the story of the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law: Wang Shi, the wife of Zhou Chaozhong, and Liu Shi, daughter-in-law. Wang Hanru bitterly pulled his son, daughter-in-law Liu Shi Liu was 17 years old, and her husband died before she passed the door, so she kept the festival for her "husband" until she was more than 90 years old, during which she also served her mother-in-law until her old age, and raised her children and grandchildren for the Zhou family, and education and growth became a good story. The festival and filial piety were gathered in one door, and the emperor was praised as "supporting the righteousness of Qianjiang".

Religious Museum

Walking the streets of Qingyan, you will always find some religious sites. It is said that Qingyan is a place with developed religions in history, rich in religious varieties, and a small town actually gathers the Buddhist Ciyun Temple, Shoufo Temple, Yingxiang Temple, Taoist Wanshou Palace (Jiangxi Guild Hall), Christian Church and Catholic Church, Confucian Wenchang Pavilion, as well as the Personal Worship Place of the Bing Family, Sun Zhen Temple, and the Chuanzu Temple of the Sichuan people's faith worship... It's like a religious museum. These religions, which have coexisted harmoniously in Qingyan for hundreds of years, have been able to preserve many of the religious relics that are still there today. Although there was a famous historical event against The "Qingyan Teaching Case" against Catholic missionaries, today the Catholic Church is still sitting, all the intra-religious activities are still in full swing, and when I was wandering, I accidentally saw an old man who sold vegetables actually reading the Bible in his spare time, and watched the efforts of those Western missionaries a hundred years ago, and finally paid off.

A back street that tugs at the heartstrings

The back street is actually an alley in the center of Qingyan Town, and the street is lined with layers of white stone walls, narrow and quiet, undulating along the mountain. Like many travelers, the first time you see the back street, you are attracted by it, which will inadvertently pluck the heartstrings of people and make people think of it. On this winding path, you seem to be able to think of all the romantic scenes and elements, always reverie in this narrow alley will meet a girl unexpectedly; always think of all kinds of small and fresh elements in the weeds on the white wall; if it rains, it is like Dai Wangshu's rain alley, always hoping to "meet a lilac-like girl". Going back and forth in the alley, I met many small couples who took pictures, most of them were small and fresh dressed, presumably they also understood the essence of the back street in advance.

The back street is very quiet, so quiet that you dare not speak loudly, and you don't know what it was like hundreds of years ago. Is it also a place full of emotions? How many hearts have been touched? Seeing a lot of people come in, I don't want to leave for a long time, in addition to the heartstrings being plucked, there is also the sense of taste that is plucked, because the most famous pastoral restaurant in the ancient town is located in the middle of the alley, this restaurant is the old name of Qingyan, which includes all the delicacies of Qingyan: chicken spicy horn, Qingming rice, Qingyan pig's trotters, duck foot board, bayberry soup, tofu fruit... Against the name, I couldn't help but go inside for dinner, ordered almost all the Qingyan specialties, only to feel that it was more delicious than eating in other places at noon, think carefully, the back street should add a lot of points to this food!

Night to Qingyan

Because I had dinner on the back street and drank a few glasses of local osmanthus rice wine, I left for the inn outside the South Gate at eight o'clock to rest. On the road back at night, I found that Qingyan had quieted down at eight o'clock, some shops had closed, and those who were open had begun to pack up and prepare to close. At the door of the house, there are old people embroidering flowers, the crowd sitting and chatting under the archway, and a flower cat lying lazily in the middle of the road in front of the city gate, not caring about the footsteps and eyes of others. If there is a lot of noise in Qingyan during the day, then Qingyan really returns to its original appearance, this is the real Qingyan life Qingyan rhythm, it does not have the hustle and bustle of Lijiang Dali, only the most original state of life, all you have to do is to follow it to quiet down, but also can fully integrate into the Qingyan residents, pull home with them, listen to them tell you more Qingyan stories. If you have a heart, you can also climb the city wall (South City Gate) of DingguangMen with a bottle of beer like me, listen to the sound of frogs outside the city gate, smell the rice fragrance from the field, and look at the ancient post road in a daze, although there is no scene of jinge iron horses in front of the city wall, there is only the precious nature and life of this ancient town.
