The series of reports "Struggle for a Hundred Years, Embarking on a New Journey, Counting Popular Figures", the revolutionary martyrs we want to remember today are Xia Minghan who wrote "It doesn't matter if you behead, as long as the doctrine is true".

Xia Minghan, born in 1900 in Zigui, Hubei Province, returned to his hometown of Hengyang, Hunan with his family at the age of 12. In 1917, Xia Minghan was admitted to the Hunan Provincial Third Grade A Industrial School. In 1921, through the introduction of Mao Zedong and He Shuheng, Xia Minghan joined the Communist Party of China. After joining the party, he participated in the leadership of the rickshaw workers' strike struggle in Changsha and won the victory. In February 1926, Xia Minghan was appointed Secretary General of the National Farmers' Association. In 1927, after the defeat of the Great Revolution, he participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising and led the Pingjiang Peasant Revolt. In January 1928, the party organization transferred Xia Minghan to the Hubei Provincial Party Committee to take up leadership work, and on March 18, he was unfortunately arrested for betrayal by traitors. In the early morning of March 20, before the execution, Xia Minghan, who was only 28 years old, wrote a poem of righteousness: "It doesn't matter if you cut off your head, as long as the doctrine is true." Kill Xia Minghan, and the people who came after him! ”
Luo Min, deputy director of the Party History Research Office of the Hengyang County CPC Committee in Hunan Province: From his poem on righteousness, we can feel the unswerving ideals and convictions of martyr Xia Minghan and the fighting spirit of seeing death as a homecoming, and have inspired and inspired our descendants from generation to generation to turn the spirit of Minghan into a firm determination to overcome difficulties and a powerful motive force for making meritorious contributions.
