An old man in Nanning did not listen to advice, went up the mountain alone to find the sheep and accidentally fell into a 40-meter deep pit

At about 1 p.m. on September 21, the Nanxu Police Station of the Long'an County Public Security Bureau in Nanning City received a warning from the command center that an old man in his 70s in Longxintun, Lianwu Village, Nanxu Town, accidentally fell into a deep pit while herding sheep on the mountain and requested rescue. After receiving the police information, the Nanwei police station organized the police to go to Longxintun in Lianwu Village to understand the situation.

After the police came to Longxintun in Lianwu Village, they learned from the villagers that the old man who fell into the deep pit was surnamed Huang, and went to the mountain to herd sheep on the afternoon of the 20th, and at the foot of the mountain five kilometers away from the main road, a sheep fell into the deep pit, and Huang Laobo planned to go home to get tools to save the sheep. At about 6 p.m., Old Uncle Huang did not listen to the advice and went into the mountain alone with tools to save the sheep.

At noon on the 21st, the villagers invited Huang Laobo to eat together, and found that Huang Laobo was not at home, and he was not found in the village. After inquiry, it was learned that Huang Laobo had gone up the mountain to save the sheep the day before, and everyone was worried about Huang Laobo's safety, so they organized several villagers to go up the mountain to look for it. When the villagers came to the deep pit at the foot of the mountain, they found Huang Laobo's shoes at the entrance of the cave, which judged that Huang Laobo was trapped in the deep pit, so he dialed the 110 alarm, and at the same time, 2 villagers tied the rope and entered the deep pit to check the situation, and sent food and water into the pit.

After understanding the situation, the police met with the emergency firefighters and followed the villagers to the rescue. After about 50 minutes of hiking on the mountain trail, we finally arrived at the scene of the incident.

The police, fire brigade, and villagers worked together to rescue the trapped elderly

According to the on-site observation, the deep pit trapping Huang Laobo is an underground cave, the mouth of the cave is about 1 meter wide, the rock wall is wet and slippery and there are many mosses, people are very easy to slip down when climbing, and if they are not careful, they will fall into the depths of the cave. The cave is divided into three sections, extending to the ground at an inclined angle, the first layer is more vertical, with a depth of nearly 20 meters, the second section is similar to the first section, and Huang Laobo is in the third section of the cave, about 40 meters away from the mouth of the cave. The villagers who had previously entered the cave to check the situation told rescuers that because the cave was very deep, there was no signal on the mobile phone below, and the people outside the cave could not hear the shouts in the cave, and Huang Laobo in the cave was still conscious, but he could not move due to injury.

The police and fire department immediately formulated a rescue plan to clean up the weeds, dead trees and pumice stones around the cave entrance, and used wood as a support to install pulleys. Firefighters carry stretchers into the cave, put trapped people on stretchers and pull them out through pulleys. After 4 hours of joint efforts by the police of Nanwei Police Station, emergency firefighters and villagers, the old man was finally rescued from the pothole and assisted the medical staff to send the old man to the hospital for treatment.
