At about 7 p.m. on October 23, the road near the intersection of Natural Bridge Road and East 1st Road in Laibin City collapsed, a white car fell into a pit, and the two people on the car were trapped.
The South China Morning Post client reporter saw from the scene video taken by netizens that after the road surface collapsed, a large pit was formed, a white car fell into the pit, and the warning lights on the car were turned on. According to an eyewitness at the scene, the pit is about 4 meters in diameter and 4 meters deep.

Nearby residents told reporters that when the white car was driving normally along the natural bridge road to the west, it suddenly encountered a road surface collapse, and the car could not avoid it and fell into the pit formed by the collapse. It is understood that at the time of the incident, there were two men in the car. After the accident, nearby residents called the fire rescue and emergency telephone for the first time, and found a wooden ladder to protrude into the pit, allowing the two men in the car to climb out smoothly.
The reporter learned from the traffic police department that the two injured men were then taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment, and after the hospital's preliminary diagnosis, the two men's injuries were chest fractures.
It is reported that after the incident, the relevant departments transferred a crane and hoisted the white car that fell into the pit at about 8 p.m.
