Former Sony executive Shawn Layden said in a recent interview with Bloomberg that he "has no idea" what the situation of Capcom's PS4 exclusive game "Deep Pit" is.
In the interview, Shawn Layden talked about his departure from Sony and his views on the development of AAA masterpieces. When asked about "The Pit," Layden paused to "think for a second" and replied, "I don't know at all."
Even if Layden really knew what was going on with the game, he probably wouldn't be able to discuss it openly. But anyway, we don't get an answer from him.

Deep Pit is a dungeon adventure game that has a bit of a shadow of Dragon's Creed and Dark Souls. The game was released in 2013 and then fell into a pit and disappeared without a trace, much like R Star's PS3 exclusive masterpiece Agent. Whether Deep Pit is still in development remains a mystery, but at least in 2016, it was reported that the game's development was in difficulty.
After a period of silence, Capcom actually renewed the trademark for Deep Pit, and Ono said that the company did not give up the game. But Ono himself later left Capcom.
The last time the story broke was in April 2020, when sources said the game had been developed to a "near-finish" state before it was shelved.
