Judi Dench (born 9 December 1934 in Yorkshire, England), is an actress.
Judy Dench was born in Yorkshire to a physician to a father of Reginald Arthur Dench and a mother, Eleanora Olave, a native of Dublin, and the two met while reginalding at Trinity College Dublin.
In 1957, Judy Dench starred in the old Vic Company's version of Hamlet, making her professional theatrical debut in Liverpool.
In 1961, she joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, and successively starred in "Cherry Orchard" and "One Newspaper and One Newspaper".
In 1964, Judy Dench entered the film industry, playing a supporting role in The Third Secret and winning the first British Academy Film Award, becoming the most promising new star overnight.
In 1986, she made an unforgettable impression as a nosy writer in A Room with a View, where her role as a "vitriolous" writer won her the Baptista Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. Two years later, relying on another film, "A Handful of Dust," she won the award again.
In 1989, she played a supporting role in Kenneth Branagh's critically acclaimed Henry V.
