134,000 blue photovoltaic panels, neatly arranged on more than 1,300 acres of water, the breeze blows, egrets fly over the water, landing on the photovoltaic panels to rest.

On March 31, Hubei Daily full media reporter walked into Zhuhe Village, ShifoSi Town, Wuxue City, to see this scene, and the photovoltaic panels standing on the water surface are 40 MW fishing-light complementary photovoltaic power generation projects in the first phase of Hubei Huadian Wuxue Shifo Temple.

"The farm generates 55 million kWh of electricity per year." According to the person in charge of Huadian Wuxue New Energy Co., Ltd., the photovoltaic panel can automatically track the sunlight, walk in the power field, and the motor starts from time to time, driving the photovoltaic panel to turn steadily to the sun.

With a total investment of 340 million yuan, the project was connected to the grid in June 2017, generating 55 million kWh of clean electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving about 22,000 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 59,000 tons, reducing sulfur dioxide by about 1,800 tons, and reducing nitrogen oxides by about 900 tons.

In addition to power generation, under the photovoltaic panels is a fish pond, the so-called "fishing light complementary". Water power generation, underwater fish farming, one resource, two industries. At the beginning of March this year, 100,000 fry were stocked in the pond, including mandarin fish, bluefish, crucian carp, perch, etc., and some fish ponds also have crayfish.

The reporter found Zhang Jianwen, the head of the Huachang Aquatic Products Cooperative, who was feeding on the fish pond and watched the fish grab food, and he had a smile on his face. In 2017, the Yuguang Complementary Photovoltaic Power Generation Project landed here, Zhang Jianwen seized the opportunity to expand the scale of aquaculture, and the cooperative contracted more than 1,300 mu of fish ponds. "Now fish ponds produce thousands of pounds per acre, and it is not a problem for cooperatives to earn millions of dollars a year."

The project company spent nearly 2.6 million yuan to repair village-level roads and circulate fish ponds, increasing the net income of villagers by nearly 1 million yuan per year. Aquaculture in fish ponds has increased the employment demand of nearly 40 people; the project's security, greening and other services are purchased from the village, plus consumption to help farmers, etc., which can increase the income of villagers by 600,000 yuan per year.

"The model of 'fishing and light complementarity' has an annual guaranteed rental income of 900,000 yuan, which is even more impressive with aquaculture." Zhang Licheng, secretary of the party branch of Zhuhe Village, smiled and closed his mouth. "The village is rich, the villagers are rich, and more than 20 families have started new houses and bought new cars."

Nowadays, there are similar fishing and light complementary projects in Jiangling, Tongshan and other places in our province, and this model continues to be promoted. "This year, Yangxin Prince's 98 MW fishing-light complementary projects will soon start, covering an area of 2,000 mu."
