"Post-95 choreographer", "more than a year after graduation", "won international awards"... These labels gave Zheng Yitong a dazzling brilliance, and friends and family congratulated him. However, after learning the news of the award, Zheng Yitong was not as excited as ordinary people, but had mixed feelings in his heart.
"Cold and Warm Life: Ten Days Farewell" is a documentary about death produced by Zheng Yitong as the director of the "Cold and Warm Life" column of Phoenix Satellite TV. Receiving rewards and honors through a film that records death, he always feels unbearable. Before attending the award ceremony, his heart was full of struggles, and the bits and pieces about this film once again came alive in his mind, and the complex and subtle emotions far overshadowed the joy of the award itself. "While the award is a very happy thing, it is based on such a film, and all the praise, encouragement and support I have received is based on my shooting of a child who has passed away. So in fact, every time someone talks to me about this film, I have to repeat the whole process of my shooting at that time, which is a more painful and painful process. ”

At that moment, Zheng Yitong understood that what he had done was meaningful. "I think the meaning of companionship is greater than the meaning of recording. Although many people watch this film and cry with a tissue, I hope that everyone will not take this as a too sad thing, which is not our intention. The more important significance of this film for myself is to know and become friends with this family, which has left traces in my life. Zheng Yitong shared when referring to the intention of the film, "In the face of life and death, facing this dilemma that everyone will face, this experience makes each of us closer to each other." ”
What supported Zheng Yitong to complete the filming was a sentence said by the chief producer of "Cold and Warm Life": "What we want to shoot is not pain and death, but humanity and dignity." Zheng Yitong has always liked this column very much, and after graduating from college, he joined the column team without hesitation. More than a year after graduation, as a new choreographer, he has participated in the production of nearly 20 episodes of the show.

In the summer of '17, my grandmother died, and the day before the funeral, I left my grandmother on a temporary business trip. Not sending my grandmother away has always been a regret for me. At that time, I also had a bit of a private wish, that is, I hoped that in the process of sending away Zhiyuan, I could experience and feel it again, and I could accompany a person through the last part of the process, but I did not have the regret of sending away my grandmother. In the process of working in the "Cold and Warm Life" column of Phoenix Satellite TV, Zheng Yitong not only enriched his emotional experience, but also showed the audience the joys and sorrows in life.

During his time in school, through theoretical learning in the classroom and practical exercises in the school TV station, Zheng Yitong mastered the ability to shoot, edit and tell stories, whether it is doing news or documentaries, these abilities are indispensable. "At that time, Zhongchuan News was my second dormitory, and I remember that every time I was in News Week, I worked late in Zhongchuan News, and I had to stay up all night before the film was released. He worked very hard, and was once quipped by his classmates that he "stayed up late until his pores could stuff eggs." In his junior year, the DV creation course of the Television School opened a new door for Zheng Yitong. Compared to most news, documentaries take longer to create and shoot. But Zheng Yitong enjoys this long track record, the comprehensive contact between people, in his view, the span of time is a very attractive thing. "When I actually made my first documentary, I realized that connecting people is a wonderful thing. I realized how much trust and support I had in entrusting me with the story of my life during the three or four hours of the interview. Zheng Yitong recalled, "But I later understood that this is actually a process of sincerity for sincerity, when my starting point is sincerity, I am not actually getting a person's story, we are communicating with each other." Because I'm also telling my story, we reach a life-long consensus in the course of this conversation, approach some emotional truths together, restore some experiences together; and, we find something empathetic in those experiences. Since then, Zheng Yitong has felt that making documentaries is a very attractive thing, and he is willing to continue to do this. It can be said that the accumulation of four years of study in China Transmission has guided the direction for his future career choices, especially entering Phoenix Satellite TV and entering the column group of "Cold and Warm Life".
"In fact, each of us has only one kind of life, but we can experience different life experiences in a lifetime through interviews and watching programs, by recording this matter."
