Kunming Chenggong Sports Training Base
Kunming Chenggong Sports Training Base is located in the southern suburbs of Chenggong County, Kunming City, east of Kunyu Expressway, west of Dianchi Lake, 25 kilometers away from Kunming City.

Chenggong Sports Training Base is mainly based on athletics and bicycle training bases, and is the "plateau training base of the Chinese Athletics Association".
For more than 30 years, it has trained hundreds of international-level national athletes, known as the "take-off place of champions".
Domestic and foreign track and field teams, as well as provincial and municipal (district) track and field teams, wrestling teams, bicycle teams, motorcycle teams, etc. have come to the plateau for training.

The Yunnan Provincial Sports Work Brigade was formerly known as the Yunnan Provincial Sports Cadre Training Class established on May 15, 1953. In February 1959, it was renamed as the Yunnan Provincial Sports Training Brigade, and in June of that year, it was merged with the Yunnan Sports Institute to be called the Sports Department of the Yunnan Sports Academy, with 17 sports.
In 1971, it was changed to Yunnan Provincial Sports Work Brigade (hereinafter referred to as Yunnan Provincial Sports Brigade). In 1984, the provincial sports brigade, the provincial military sports bureau, the provincial sports school, and the provincial sports institute were merged to form the Yunnan Provincial General Bureau of Sports Training, which consisted of four brigades. In October 1988, the Provincial Sports Training Corps was abolished and the Provincial Sports Brigade was restored, with a strength of 1368 and 23 sports projects. In 1994, the provincial sports team was divided into three (Kunming Chenggong Sports Training Base and Yunnan Province North Teaching Field Training Base), and the number of sports brigades was reduced to 618, with 13 sports projects. After two reforms in 2000 and 2004, the sports were adjusted to 4 (judo, wrestling, weightlifting, women's basketball).

Yunnan Provincial Water Sports Project Training Base is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, Chenggong County Songmao Reservoir, about 30 kilometers away from the center of Kunming, established in March 1996, about 2100 meters above sea level, the average annual temperature of 14·5 degrees, has a unique geographical and climatic advantages, is the ideal base for water sports training, by some professionals called "the first plateau on the water".
Before the Athens Olympic Games, the national men's kayak team had come to the Songmao Water Training Base for plateau training five times, and made breakthroughs in physical fitness and technical and tactical levels, and after "going down the mountain", Meng Guanliang and Yang Wenjun won the gold medal in the Athens Olympic Games, and the Songmao Base was also famous at home and abroad.

Liu Hao, this Yuxi man, is the proud son of heaven in the kayaking arena. In 2010, Liu Hao returned to the Songmao Water Training Base in Yunnan to prepare for the 2013 National Games. It was at that time that Liu Hao had a new understanding of kayaking. At an altitude of 1888 meters, since it was officially put into use in 1975, it has witnessed the development of China's sports industry, especially football. At present, Haigeng Base has become a comprehensive multi-functional highland training base with football training as the leader and swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, softball, squash, rugby, beach volleyball, diving, and athletics as the main body. With the transformation and upgrading of the hardware facilities of Haigeng Base, it has become the preferred plateau training base for national swimming teams, national junior boys' football, Chinese Super League, Chinese First Division, China Second Division and other national brands and sports teams at home and abroad.

With the development of the city in recent years, kunming residents, especially in the southern city, can rarely find a free sports field of their own, so every day before and after dinner, the Haigeng base athletic field has become a good place for citizens to exercise. Yunnanbei Teaching Field Sports Training Base has a comprehensive building integrating training, office and accommodation, and is equipped with shooting training hall, archery training ground, boxing training hall, table tennis training hall, basketball court and other facilities, and is equipped with perfect medical treatment, rehabilitation, athlete canteen, guest house and other logistics and living facilities, which is an ideal plateau training base for domestic and foreign sports teams.
The base has shooting, boxing, weightlifting, archery, table tennis and other professional sports teams, and Zhang Guozheng, who achieved a breakthrough of zero Olympic gold medals for Yunnan, stepped onto the Olympic championship podium from here. Weightlifters Lu Jinbi and Zhang Chongxi, who won the silver medal at the Tenth Games, also lived and trained here. Shan Jun, the 63 kg champion of the 2021 National Men's Boxing Championships, is a key member of the North Teaching Field Training Base and the Provincial Boxing Team, and he helped the Boxing Project of Yunnan Province win the gold medal for the first time at the National Games.

Yunnan Sports Vocational and Technical College was formerly known as Yunnan Youth Sports School, which was founded in 1964 and established as Yunnan Provincial Sports School in 1978. In 1994, the school and the Yunnan Institute of Physical Education, an adult university established in 1983, jointly operated the school. In 1998, Yunnan Institute of Physical Education was transferred to Yunnan Normal University. On May 26, 2004, the school was approved by the People's Government of Yunnan Province and established as Yunnan Sports Vocational and Technical College.
