"I saw that kind smile, I saw the thoughtful and warm service, I saw the refreshing, tidy and beautiful Wuhan Metro..." Recently, an old man over eighty years old sent a handwritten letter to the Jimu News Editorial Department, recording his feelings about taking the subway for the first time and thanking the subway employees who helped him along the way.

The old man named Li Yongxiang, who is 84 years old this year, worked in Wuhan Iron and Steel and was a reporter for the internal publication "Wuhan Iron and Steel Workers' Daily". After retiring in 1996, he and his wife moved to Shandong to settle down and spend their old age. In July this year, the old man returned to Wuhan to participate in the editing of a book.
One day in mid-August, Li Yongxiang took the subway out to run errands, which was also his first time on the subway. He said he was carrying luggage in his hand and limping on his leg because of his injuries.
"Shortly after I walked into the subway station, there were subway staff who took the initiative to greet me and take the initiative to care about whether I needed help, I said I was going to Wuchang Jiyu Bridge, they told me the riding route, helped me carry my luggage and kept me on the bus." On the way to Jiyuqiao, the old man changed three lines, and at each station there were staff warmly greeting him and sending him to the transfer train.
When she arrived at the destination station Jiyu Bridge, the staff member Zhai Mengfei was already waiting on the platform, and she inquired in detail about the final destination of the trip. Knowing that he still needed to change to the 542 bus to Qingshan, Feng Peng, the station chief on duty, took the old man's luggage and helped him to the bus stop outside the subway station.
The old man recalled in the thank-you letter: "Before getting on the bus, I was repeatedly instructed to say that there may be many people on the bus, so I should stand firm and support well, pay attention to safety, so as not to sprain my legs and feet again, and frequently wave goodbye to me." ”
"If the country's subway and other transportation hubs can achieve such warm and thoughtful service as the Wuhan metro, then how happy and happy the people of the whole country should be!" The elderly Li Yongxiang expressed his feelings in the thank-you letter.
On the morning of September 11, the old man also personally delivered a copy of the letter to the staff of Jiyuqiao Station on Line 2 to express his gratitude.
