This is a group of old photographs taken in Quxian County, Sichuan Province, in 1909. In January 1909, the University of Chicago in the United States sent an Oriental education delegation to China to investigate, and Professor Thomas Zhang Bolin of the Department of Geology and his son Luolin Zhang Bolin were the main members of the delegation. The 28-year-old Luo Lin was in charge of photography, and during the trip, Luo Lin left a precious image of the Chinese land of a hundred years ago with clear photos and detailed written records. Qu County, also known as Tangqu, is located in the east of Sichuan, southwest of Dazhou City, Qu County has a long history, as early as the first year of the Zhou Dynasty (314 BC) set up Tangqu County, Ming Hongwu ninth year (1376) named Qu County, since then the name of Qu County has never changed. In the history of Quxian County, there was a famous "Battle of Tangqu" in the history of the Three Kingdoms, and in the 20th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (215), the famous Shu Han general Huanhou Zhang Fei defeated the Wei general Zhang Gao at The Eight Mountains of Quxian County. The Battle of Tangqu was the most brilliant victory in Zhang Fei's military career in the thirty-seven years since he followed Liu Bei in the army, showing excellent military talent, changing people's understanding of his "one jie cao mang", and his Ma Mari inscription calligraphy was praised by future generations.

In 1909, QuXian County, located in the east of the Lidu River, a temple in the main hall of the temple is dedicated to a three-eyed god lord, this temple may be the main temple of Sichuan, and Li Bing's father and son, the three-eyed god statue should be the image of the Erlang god. Li Bing was the Taishou of Shu County, Qin in the Warring States period, and also a famous water conservancy expert, who presided over the construction of Dujiangyan, Li Bing's second son was Li Bing's right-hand man, and the prototype of the Erlang God was Li Bing's second son.
