On October 20, Huang Qiao, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangzhou District CPC Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, went to Nalong Town, Jiangzhou District, to inspect and investigate the forest supervision case and quickly conclude the work.

At the research and report meeting, Li Dejun, deputy head of the criminal case handling team and deputy director of the Chongzuo City Forest Public Security Bureau, made a detailed report to Secretary Huang Qiao on the recent progress of the case handling and the existing problems and difficulties. Deputy Procurator General Chen Liangxiao, who attended the meeting, answered the question of the characterization of individual cases and put forward two measures for giving full play to the work of procuratorial functions: First, regularly inquire about the handling of cases, implement dynamic guidance and evidence collection, and promote the rapid conversion of public security organs from cracking cases to evidence determination. The second is to simplify the review of minor criminal cases and improve the efficiency of case handling. The third is to balance leniency with severity and accurately grasp the boundaries of laws and policies.

After listening to the report, Secretary Huang Qiao affirmed the work of the criminal case-handling team and put forward four requirements for the next step: First, active communication and coordination. The Department of Public Prosecutions and Law should promptly summarize the work situation, promote the progress and effectiveness of case handling, and ensure that forest supervision cases are quickly investigated and concluded. Second, warning education is in place. Select some simple and representative cases to go to the village for trial and pronounce judgments in court, effectively deter criminal suspects who still have the psychology of luck, and better implement relevant policies in place and pass them on to the hearts of the masses. The third is to increase the intensity of propaganda. Strive to lead the way from point to point and expand case-handling work. The Propaganda Department should send people to publicize legal work, publicize hot cases of concern to the masses, and integrate into the legal circle and the circle of friends of the masses. Fourth, townships and towns should assist in exerting efforts. We should attach great importance to the problems faced by entering villages and tuns to carry out the work of verifying the spot spots, and actively assist the case-handling working group in doing a good job in various safeguard work.
