It is rare in Zhejiang Province.

Black-faced spoonbills
Last year, the Yeosu Biodiversity Background Survey Bird Group discovered a new record of birds in Lishui City, the black-faced spoonbills, in Bihu Town, Liandu District. Belonging to the storks, storks, spoonbill subfamily, the spoonbill subfamily has a total of six species of birds in the world, of which the black-faced spoonbill is the rarest in number (the only black-faced spoonbill is an endangered species among the six known spoonbills), and is listed as endangered (EU) in the Red List of Biodiversity of China. On February 5, 2021, in the adjusted List of Wild Animals under National Key Protection, the black-faced spoonbill was upgraded from a national second-level protected wild animal to a national first-level protected wild animal.

It is a small and distinctive bird. The head is grey, slightly crowned, the mouth is flattened, the base of the mouth is broad and almost equilateral triangular, the mouth whiskers are developed and long, several up to the mouth port, the head to the back of the neck is black gray, the back is olive green, the wings and tail are black gray, and the wings and feathers are olive yellow-green. The throat and thorax are grey, and the rest of the underparts are yellow. The iris is brown, the mouth is black on the mouth, the corner of the mouth is colored, and the feet are yellowish brown. Noisy and active, jumping among the branches, constantly hunting and chasing passing insects. The tail is often fanned open.

Chinese autumn sand duck is an ancient species left over from the end of the Tertiary glacial period, with a history of more than 10 million years, it is a rare bird of Chinese specialty, belonging to the national key protected animals, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list and the Chinese biodiversity red list are listed as endangered species. According to the latest estimates, there are less than 5,000 Chinese Autumn Sand Ducks in the world, known as "living fossils in the water" and "giant pandas in birds", and because of the name of "China", it is known as "National Duck".
