Li Zhao, a native of Lijiaping Village, Lincheng County, Hebei Province. Born in the summer of 1925. He joined the revolution in November 1937 and served as a soldier in the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army's Jixi Guerrilla Army. In the summer of 1939, he was appointed as a soldier of the Ji'nan Bureau. In June 1941, he was appointed as a soldier in the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Border Region Government. He joined the Communist Party of China in October 1942. In 1943, he was appointed as the director of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Border District Government Guest House. In 1945, he was appointed deputy instructor of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Border Region Government. In 1946, he was appointed as the communication secretary of the Communication Office of the North China People's Government of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Border Region. In 1948, he was appointed as the chief of the communication section of the Shijiazhuang Communication Department of the United Front Work Department of the Cpc Central Committee. In April 1949, he entered Beiping and participated in the Preparatory Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference; In October, he was appointed deputy section chief of the Ceremony Bureau of the Central People's Government. From January 1950 to 1954, he was the chief of the Hospitality Section of the State Council Organ Affairs Administration. From 1954 to 1956, he was the chief of the venue section of the Central Guard Department of the CPC Central Committee. From 1956 to December 1960, he was the secretary of the county party committee of Boxing County, Shandong Province. From September 1960 to 1967, he was the director of the Yuquan Mountain Management Department of the Security Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee. From 1968 to 1976, he was the deputy director of the Security Department of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the deputy head of the Central Guard Regiment (Unit 8341). From November 1976 to April 1979, he served as deputy director of the Security Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and deputy commander of the Central Guard Division (Unit 8341). From April 1979 to May 1980, he was the deputy commander of the Shandong Provincial Military District of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He retired in May 1980.
