Wei Qiuyue, a native of Tianjin, entered the Tianjin Youth Sports School at the age of 11, was selected for the national junior team at the age of 15, and then she was selected for the Tianjin women's volleyball team. The following year, Wei Qiuyue was selected for the national youth team, and with his good technical and tactical qualities and excellent physical conditions, he was entrusted by Cai Bin, the head coach of the national youth team at the time, as the main second passer.
At the end of 2006, the main second pass of the national women's volleyball team, Feng Kun, was injured and went to the United States for treatment, and Wei Qiuyue entered the national team, thus laying his main position in the national team.
