When Liu Yizheng's father Liu Quan was in the middle of the family road, he made a living teaching, and his mother was involved in housework, while Liu Yizheng's maternal grandfather was also a clan. Liu Quan died when Liu Yizheng was seven years old, and his mother Bao Shi had to take Liu Yizheng's sisters and brothers to his grandfather's house. The Liu family is a family in Zhenjiang, and the family has a charity organization, and every month liu yi levies a silver yuan of two yuan and two thousand copper coins for living expenses.
The difficult life did not make Bao's study a little slack on Liu Yizheng' studies, there was no economic conditions to ask for a teacher, Liu Mother personally taught her son, under the strict supervision of her mother, Liu Yizheng worked hard to read since childhood, when he heard that there was a collection of books in Zhenjiang, he went to borrow or copy them. Liu Yizheng said: "From the age of seven to fifteen or sixteen, I read and memorized books every day, only after the twenty days of the waxing moon, before the first half of the month, school was released, and I could freely read, copy, and play." Seventeen-year-old Liu Yizheng finally took the xiucai examination in the same year as Ye Yusen and Wu Yuzheng, and after Liu Yizheng graduated from Nanjing Zhongshan Academy, he began his teaching career, earning forty silver yuan per year. As soon as the son had income, his mother Bao asked the Liu family to stop the subsidy in order to use kindness for those who needed it more.
In 1900, Zhang Zhidong and Liu Kunyi jointly played the task of compiling textbooks for new-style schools in Jiangsu and other places, and jointly asked for the establishment of the Jiangchu Compilation Book Bureau. Born in the late Qing Dynasty school system reform and the wave of "Jiangning Xingxue", the bookstore is a textbook compilation and publishing institution run by the government in the late Qing Dynasty, and has an important position in the history of Chinese publishing. The bookstore has established and improved a series of organizational management systems and compilation methods, and has sent a large number of books to new-style schools, provincial libraries, Beijing Normal University halls and other institutions in Jiangsu and other places. The bookstore also recruited a number of famous scholars, such as Miao Quansun, Luo Zhenyu, Chen Sanli, Chen Qingnian and so on. Chen Qingnian was a student of Liu Qingzheng's father, and he heard that Liu Yizheng was very good at learning, and the two often discussed learning, and Liu Qingzheng benefited a lot from Chen Qingnian and knew the way to do learning. With the help of Chen Qingnian, Liu Yizheng entered the compilation bureau.
During his time at the bookstore, he had the opportunity to pay homage to the famous scholar Miao Quansun of the late Qing Dynasty. In 1902, Zhang Zhidong acted as the governor of Liangjiang and asked the Qing court to send Miao Quansun to Japan to investigate education, and Liu Yizheng, with the financial support of Miao Quansun, went to Japan to investigate. During his trip to Japan, Yanagi broadened his horizons and learned about many outstanding academic achievements in foreign countries, so that he was no longer limited to the traditional perspective of the problem. After returning to China in 1903, under the strong sponsorship of Miao Quansun and Chen Sanli, Liu Yizheng and Tao Xun, Chen Yi and others founded Siyi Primary School, and after gaining experience, Liu Yizheng resigned from the compilation bureau and concentrated on education, and founded the Jiangnan Secondary Commercial School and the Zhenjiang Dagang Primary School. He has compiled books such as "History of Past Dynasties", "History of Chinese Education", "History of Chinese Business", "Business Ethics", "Ethics and Ethics" and other books as teaching materials.
In 1908, the supervisor of the Liangjiang Normal School was Li Ruiqing, and he hired Liu Yizheng to replace Liu Shipei and come to Liangjiang Normal School to give lectures. At this time, Duan Fang, the governor of Liangjiang, sent his staff member Zuo Quanxiao to inspect the schools, and when Zuo Quanxiao reported to Duanfang, he said, "All the teachers of the schools." The teaching is good, with the willow curse as the first. Liang Dingfen was sitting, so he wanted to make friends with Liu Yizheng. Miao Quansun despised Liang Dingfen as a person, and Liu Yizheng was influenced by his teacher, so he could not resign, and Liang Dingfen specially wrote a fan to give to Liu Yiwei.
However, at the end of the semester, Liu Yizheng proposed his resignation, and Li Ruiqing refused to let him go, sending someone to understand the reason for his resignation, only to know that Liu Fuzi had been wronged. It turned out that when Liu Yizheng was in other schools, the school respected the teachers, and the monthly salary was personally sent to the teachers by the accountant. And Liangjiang Normal School, the first normal school in Jiangsu Province, does not have this habit, the salary is all received by the teacher, Liu Yizheng thought that the accountant deliberately despised him, so he resigned. After lifting the misunderstanding, Liu Yizheng still believed that receiving his own salary was a loss of the dignity of the teacher. Li Ruiqing made new rules for him, and later Liu Yizheng's salary was changed to a special gift.
After the Xinhai Revolution, he returned to Zhenjiang to preside over the Zhenjiang Fu Middle School. Soon after, he became a professor at Mingde University in Beijing. In 1914, the Liangjiang Normal School was rebuilt into the Nanjing Higher Normal School, and Liu Yizheng was hired by Jiang Qianzhi as a professor of history and Chinese language in the Faculty of Literature, History and Geography. In 1920, Nanjing Higher Division was changed to National Southeast University. Wu Mi was a colleague of Liu Yizheng at national Southeast University, and the two were like-minded, and Wu Mi honored Liu Yizheng as a mentor. Wu Mi called Xu Liuyizheng "a professor of National Southeast University, Mr. Liu Boya Hongtong, the first person." ”
In January 1925, Guo Bingwen, president of Southeast University, was removed from his post as president by Duan Qirui from the Ministry of Education. Since then, the president of UTokyo has changed frequently, and Hu Dunfu, Chen Yifan, Jiang Weiqiao, Qin Fen, etc. have been appointed as presidents in 1925, but none of them have officially performed their duties. It lasted more than a year and had a negative impact on the development of UTokyo, and a wave of students occurred at National Southeast University. However, Liu Yizheng was attacked and scolded, saying that he wanted to be the dean of the College of Literature, and that he wanted to be the director of the Jiangsu Education Department, and Liu Yizheng did not distinguish between arguments and explanations. It happened that Zhang Xueliang invited him to give a lecture at the National Northeastern University, so he immediately resigned and left for the northeast.
In 1928, the National Government was established. The following year, he returned to Nanjing to teach at the Central University, and served as the director of the Nanjing Library, editing the "General Bibliography of Books of jiangsu provincial library" and "bibliography of existing books in Jiangsu provincial library". In 1938, when Zhejiang University had moved to Taihe, Guizhou, Zhu Kezhen invited Liu Yizheng to give a lecture. In class, Liu Yizheng was talking about the Nanjing Massacre when he fainted on the podium because of anger and suddenly suffered a stroke. Zhu Kezhen hurriedly extended medical rescue and recuperated for another three months at Zhejiang University in Guizhou. When he left the school, Zhu Kezhen sent a special car to escort him, and also asked the secretary to send three hundred yuan of Sichuan capital, and Liu Yizheng resolutely refused to accept it, on the grounds that he was sick and did not succeed in learning.
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Central University moved from the capital Nanjing to the southwest rear of Chongqing, and the main campus was located in songlinpo, Shapingba, the capital. In 1938, Liu became a professor of history at Chuo University again. In 1942, the Nationalist government established the "Li le hall", Chiang Kai-shek wanted to take advantage of Liu Yizheng's virtue and asked him to preside over the lile hall, Liu Yizheng "took the old and weak as a word", Chiang Kai-shek asked Chen Bui, the brother of Liu Men's disciple Chen Xunci, to come forward, and Liu Yizheng refused to be physically ill and tired.
Liu Yizheng had two strokes. Burnout. He applied for retirement in 1949 and went to Shanghai in April of that year to settle down with his son, ending his life in Nanjing. He taught at Fudan University and participated in the preparation of the Shanghai Museum. On February 3, 1956, Liu Yizheng died in Shanghai at the age of seventy-six.
Liu Yizheng has written a wealth of works, published more than 50 papers in his lifetime, and has authored a variety of monographs such as "Chinese Cultural History", "Essential Meaning of National History", "History of East Asian Countries", "History of India", "History of the Nanyang Islands", "Small History of the Library of Guoxue", "Introduction to Chinese Editions", "Inscription of The Hall of Qitang", "History of Chinese Education", "Liu Yizheng Says Culture", "Chinese Business History", "Business Ethics", "Chinese Fiscal History", and "Liu Yimou's Anthology". The year before, the historian Liu Yizheng's descendants, due to uneven division of inheritance, set fire to all the books and fine books of the old man, and tore the puben into pieces, and it hurt! Behind him are 85 copies of the Diary of the Temple, which has not yet been published, and is currently unknown in the hands of his descendants.
Liu Yizheng is a literary historian and a pioneer and founder of modern and contemporary Chinese historiography; he is a modern Confucian master who has contributed greatly to the revival of modern Confucianism; he is a philosopher of history, seeking the principle of crowds from history; he is a librarian who completed the "General Catalogue of Books of the Jiangsu Provincial Library of National Studies"; he is an educator who has devoted his life to education. He loved talent, valued talent, cherished talent, and taught by example, cultivated disciples, stood tall, and was known as "willow door shading".
The four bodies of the willow curse are all work, and the seal, the affiliation, the truth, the line, and the grass are incapable of being bodyless. Starting from Yan and Liu, and then from Zhao and Dong, a solid foundation was laid with the study of thesis. After the weak crown, he was influenced by Zhang Yuzhao and began to learn the North Monument. In particular, after entering the Liangjiang Normal School to teach, he was inspired by Li Ruiqing and worked the study of steles, and his appearance was new. His seal book worked hard in the Jin wen, and he also participated in the liyi and did not show any signs of doing it; his lishu was influenced by the State of Itin in the early stage, and later broke it with the "Stone Gate". The former is simple and dignified, the latter is radiant; his calligraphy and inscriptions are cross-referenced, and he has his own ingenuity; his mood of writing is swaying, which has both the fluency of the thesis and the tension of the epigraphy. His calligraphy is due to the Han and Wei Dynasty tablets, and he is especially good at writing Shiyu's Diamond Sutra and Yan Zhenqing.
Liu Yizheng (1880-1956), also known as Yiyi Mou, also known as Xi Zhao, Zhifei, in his later years, also known as Longpan, was a native of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.
