Eva Troy's paintings have won several awards and have been exhibited in the UK, Japan and the US. Her creativity was influenced by her grandmother, who told her that beauty was "imperfect, impermanent and incomplete."

Works of art that combine Renaissance aesthetics and techniques with postmodern practices are created. Her extremely meticulous oil paintings achieve astonishing light and shadow techniques, as practiced by the masters, while incorporating fantastic scenes that challenge cultural norms.

The way these paintings were created: My painting technique is similar to the Flemish method of applying a thin layer of oil in layers between layers of propylene. I started with pencils, pastels and varnishes. After that, I drew a shallower layer with acrylic and finished it on several thicker layers using a combination of multiple media (usually acrylic and oil, but sometimes gold leaf and ink).
