【Biography】
Wang Jianzhong, a native of Longkou, Shandong. He works in Anhui and currently lives in Beijing. Wang Mingming graduated from the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts' Senior Chinese Painting Class, and Zhang Lichen graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts' Advanced Chinese Freehand Painting Advanced Creation Research Class. He studied under Zhang Jianzhong, Zhang Lichen, Guo Shifu and Wang Mingming.
He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, the vice president of the Art Academy of the Beijing Charity Association, a member of the Art Committee of the China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, an academician of the Anhui Academy of Ethnic Calligraphy and Painting, and a researcher of Chinese painting of ice and snow flowers and birds. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Beijing, Qingdao, Weifang, Yichang, Japan and South Korea.
He has published a variety of works of Wang Jianzhong's Ice and Snow Flower and Bird Paintings. His works have been widely praised by Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Qi Baishi Memorial Hall, Chinese Famous Calligraphy and Painting Museum, Australian National Art Museum of China and collectors of calligraphy and painting.
His works have been selected for more than ten national large-scale exhibitions sponsored by the China Artists Association and won awards.
In 1999, his work "Splendid Embroidery" was selected for the exhibition of calligraphy and paintings celebrating the return of Macao to the motherland.
