According to reports, Chu Lanlan began to explore and study the innovative development of Peking Opera art in 2003, and officially proposed the concept of "New Peking Opera" in 2007. According to reports, "New Peking Opera" originates from Peking Opera, and is different from Peking Opera, which is a creative, innovative, international and passable Peking Opera art form. In terms of content, the focus is on the collection of Chinese classical poetry, that is, collecting good sentences from the "Book of Poetry", Han Le Fu, Tang poems, Yuanqu and even the excellent classic poems of the Republic of China, and recombining them according to new themes and artistic conceptions to give new connotations and meanings.

In the lecture, Chu Lanlan said that through learning, observing and practicing "New Peking Opera" and Peking Opera art, young people deepen their understanding of excellent culture and art, which is conducive to enhancing the cultural self-confidence of the younger generation and promoting the prosperity and development of opera culture and art.
It is understood that Hainan University will use the "New Peking Opera Famous Teacher Workshop" as a platform to form a talent team covering Peking Opera and "New Peking Opera", actively explore the innovative development of "New Peking Opera" in Hainan University, promote peking opera, "new Peking opera" and other elegant arts into the campus for performance and tour, and promote school aesthetic education.
Biography
Chu Lanlan is a member of the Chinese Dramatists Association, a director of the National Innovation and Development Strategy Research Association, a teacher at the Beijing Vocational College of Opera Arts, and the head of the Lanxin Troupe. Over the years, he has been engaged in the teaching, research, creation and performance of Peking Opera art, and has won many artistic honors and awards such as the Top Ten Outstanding Cultural Figures Award for the Development of China, and the representative works of "New Peking Opera" include "Forever Good", "Roselle Endowment", "Four Beauties", "Four Masterpieces" and "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter".
