The Lyon family is largely based on the Corleone family in the Godfather trilogy, Lyon is the epitome of cor-Lyon. Both families are among the most powerful organizations in their respective cities. Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone were also the main inspirations for Salvador Lyon and his son Joy.
