Qiao Jinyu, also known as Qiao Yu, has a chivalrous style, likes to make friends, 25 years old this year, from Chengxian County, Gansu. When he was young, he was disabled due to congenital diseases, and due to family conditions, he had not read books, and the commonly used Chinese characters were only known with the help of his younger siblings. Seven years ago, seeing others go out to work to earn money, Qiao Jinyu also went to the Henan Shaolin Art Troupe and the Wandaoxiang Tea House in Chengxian County, but due to the thin cultural background and physical conditions, he was finally forced to go home.

Although physically disabled, Qiao Jinyu still laughs at life and is positive and optimistic. In order to improve his labor and employment skills and seek a suitable way to earn a living, he has participated in the vocational skills training for the disabled held by provinces, cities and counties for many times in the past three years.
Under the professional guidance of the instructor, he became fascinated by the folk art of paper-cutting. Later, he eagerly learned paper-cutting through videos on various online platforms, and constantly studied to improve his paper-cutting skills.
Kung Fu pays off, with the precipitation and maturity of paper-cutting skills, Qiao Jinyu has successively created "Confucius", "Zodiac" series, "Eight Juntu", "Ancient Beauty", "Five Tiger Admirals", "Wufu Linmen", "National Color Tianxiang" and other paper-cutting works, which have been widely praised by people from all walks of life. On June 19, 2018, Qiao Jinyu was awarded the honorary title of "Model Self-Improvement of Disabled Persons in the City" by the Disabled Workers' Committee of Longnan Municipal Government.
Nowadays, he has his own paper-cutting studio, and has also started paper-cutting sales through weChat, Weibo, Kuaishou and other online platforms, and his business is sound and colorful. Qiao Jinyu carefully designed and produced the "2020 Year of the Rat Wall Calendar".
In his spare time, Qiao Jinyu will also communicate with paper-cutting enthusiasts across the country, learning and teaching them how to cut paper, so that the folk art of paper-cutting can be carried forward.
In order to learn a skill, he successively went out to the provincial city to participate in e-commerce, learn to improve, and participated in the disabled people's skills competition in Lanzhou, because of his unremitting spirit of self-improvement, he was cordially encouraged by Cheng Kai, deputy director of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, and at the disabled people's base, he was cordially talked to Secretary Li of Chengxian County and encouraged him to live hard.
