In the past two years, having two babies has become the standard for many Chinese families. The second child is a happy event, but it is also a challenge.
Seemingly simple, in fact, the whole house uses a large number of environmentally friendly and warm pure solid wood materials, so that people feel warm and quiet how to let children have plenty of activity space in a limited area, parents can also accompany more, but also do not sacrifice the independent living space of adults, which is indeed a big problem.
About the unit type
This is a set of demolition and resettlement houses, dot layout and single-sided lighting, half of the 105 square meters are dark rooms, the entrance side is almost completely dark during the day, and the original apartment type has many BUGs.

The owner and wife also have their own small requirements for how to build a new home for the sisters and brothers:
1. The distribution should be fair and not cause a psychological gap for the boss;

Renovation focus
Therefore, the following adjustments were made to the space:
○ Second bedroom 1 changed to dining room, connected to the living room;
○ The kitchen is divided into two, the Chinese and Western kitchens are divided, and a 2-meter-long island platform is added;
○ The original master bedroom and the second bedroom were adjusted in two directions, the master bedroom was split into two children's rooms, and the dining room with the worst lighting was converted into a storage space.

Clever use of wooden grilles, partitions to borrow light

After the second bedroom 1 was converted into a restaurant, the lighting in the public area was improved. Designers add wooden grilles to the entrance area, visually separated continuously, and can also introduce south-facing light into the least lighted household area.
The sunken entrance that the owner wanted, because the original floor height of the house was insufficient, had no choice but to give up, and later switched to the way of plaster tile + wooden floor splicing, through the conversion of the ground material, divided into a "dust area".

Looking at the guest's kitchen from the perspective of entering the house, the spacious public relations space can effectively enhance the home experience, and the reflection effect of the dressing mirror on the left side of the entrance also enriches the layering of the space invisibly.

The TV is tucked into the cupboard, and the family interacts more
The living room is an activity area for the whole family, so I hid the TV in the cupboard, hoping to create more opportunities for the family to interact intimately.
The TV is held in a stretchable stand, allowing you to adjust the angle flexibly, making it easy to watch wherever you sit.
The living room adopts a masterless lamp design, the top two rows of downlights, the TV cabinet is darkly installed with light strips, the chandelier is set on one side near the sofa, and the other side is the TV, and the living room is switched by sliding the cabinet door.
The design of the cabinet door also took a lot of thought, and specially asked someone to copy the painting of the old tree here to make a picture screen, and the owner of the house can change different pictures according to different seasons.
The row of lockers below can effectively avoid the situation of living debris encroaching on the space, so that children have more space to play.
On the right side of the living room is the kitchen island, which is connected to the dining room in front, and when children play, adults can take care of it at any time no matter where they are.

Divide Chinese and Western kitchens to eliminate the problem of oil smoke
The original long kitchen was divided into two and changed to the layout of Chinese and Western kitchens. A glass door separates the two areas, and the middle aisle is placed in the refrigerator, making it easier to take ingredients.
After the transformation, you can not only enjoy the loving interaction of the family when preparing meals, but also do not have to endure the problem of oil smoke, and the hostess also has her own coffee corner in the Western kitchen.

The kitchen continues the color scheme of the whole house of light wood + gray green, compared with the previous L-shaped layout, the transformed U-shaped kitchen layout is more practical, and the operation countertop is doubled.
The wall is replaced by wooden partitions instead of hanging cabinet storage, ensuring practical functions and not ignoring the appearance value.

With a length of 2 meters and a width of 90 cm, the West Kitchen Island is equipped with a sink on the countertop, which can be used as a meal preparation counter, and also connects the public area and two children's rooms, which is a "bridge for family interaction".
Usually, the family can eat face-to-face here, because the living room across the island platform can directly see the TV.
The hostess also moved the coffee corner into the west kitchen area, a cup of coffee, a dessert, and occasionally have a long and happy afternoon in the busy life.
The designer changed the 30cm gap between the refrigerator and the load-bearing column into a hidden pull-out cabinet, which is specially used for collecting coffee utensils.
At the same time, five giant pumps are reserved under the island platform, even if you stock up on more ingredients, it will be very refreshing visually.

Connecting balconies to revitalize the public areas with light
The restaurant was originally a small second bedroom, when it was renovated, the designer opened the second bedroom with the small balcony next to it, changed it into a dining room, and connected with the living room and the western kitchen into a large space, so that the south-facing light naturally poured into the room, effectively improving the lighting and ventilation problems of the public space.
Nowadays, the family can eat by the window, and the mood is naturally much happier.
The small balcony connected to the restaurant has been converted into a casual tea drinking area for the host, who can sit down and drink a cup of tea after a busy day and enjoy his own bloody moments.
Children's room
Divided into two changed suites, children's small world
The two children's rooms were transformed from the original master bedroom, and the designer divided the space into two and changed it to an ensuite layout of the exclusive sisters and brothers' bathroom + bathroom + bedroom.
The sisters and brothers' double sink wash area, located next to the West Kitchen Island, is separated by a glass partition. From here, there is their respective bedroom and shared bathroom.
The washroom area uses a double basin cabinet, with a total length of 1 meter, and the washbasin is not too deep, which is just right for children to use. The two brothers and sisters can brush their teeth and wash their faces together every day, and they are not afraid to queue up in the morning.
The children's room has been converted from the south-facing master bedroom with the best light, with the best view, and in the decoration of the two bedrooms, it is also a bowl of water level.
The only difference is that on the door, there are zodiac signs of the sisters and brothers hanging on them. The two children's rooms are in the same large space, independent and intimate.
The children's room suite has its own toilet for the use of the sisters and brothers, and deliberately leaves a bathtub in the space, and the 1.4-meter small bathtub meets the children's nature of soaking in the bath and playing with the water.
Master bedroom
Connecting cloakroom & living balcony
After the renovation, the second bedroom in the northwest corner, which was originally poorly lit, became the couple's master bedroom, while the original dining room was divided into two and turned into separate storage rooms and cloakrooms.
Because the master bedroom is close to the living balcony and cloakroom, it is more convenient to take care of the housework.
The interior decoration of the master bedroom is simple, the male owner prefers Japanese simplicity, the log and the gray-green tone are combined with a refreshing and livable, and the main color of the sleeping space can also assist emotional relaxation.
The least lit area of the whole house has been converted into a storage space, and the cloakroom has also created a dressing table for the hostess, although the area is not large, but there is also a place to sit down and beautify the makeup every day.

Japanese garden to satisfy the man's gardening dreams
The living room is connected to a small terrace, so it is made into a small indoor garden with a slight Japanese Zen meaning, which satisfies the gardening dreams of the host.
