Founded in 1911, "Yongmutang"
In 1911, the year of the Xinhai Revolution, the wind of "abolishing the examination and running the school" blew all over the land of Shenzhou.
In March of that year, the Zhang family, the largest in Shenzhen Market (mainly living in the area of present-day Shuibei, Xiangxi, and Hubei), founded a "private Shenzhen Primary School" for the children of the family to study in their family's "Yongmu Hall", with Zhang Shuren as the principal at the end of the Qing Dynasty. After only half a year, due to the impact of the Xinhai Revolution, the school was closed in September.
In 1922, the school resumed operation, and the school system was four years for primary school and two years for high school. The class size is not large, and most of them use compound teaching.
In 1926, when General Zhang Fakui, a descendant of the Zhang clan and a famous anti-Japanese general, returned to his hometown to visit his relatives, he inscribed the name of the school for the Shenzhen Primary School.

Shenzhen Primary School founded Shenzhen Middle School and Shenzhen Kindergarten
In 1947, Shenzhen Primary School opened the "Folk Education Class" (adult literacy education), and founded the "Private Shenzhen Middle School" (the predecessor of today's Shenzhen Middle School), and also gave up its own school building, the Yongmu Hall built in 1927, to the middle school, and moved back to the earliest old Yongmutang school building.

Reform and exploration
After the founding of New China, Shenzhen Primary School became a public school, and Shenzhen Primary School has been exploring new roads for educational reform.
*In 1985, Shenzhen Elementary School entered into a friendly relationship with Japan's KuninoIchi Elementary School and began to exchanges, becoming the first primary school in Shenzhen to conclude an inter-school cooperative relationship with a foreign school. First Zhang Shuren (term 1911)
The first principal of the private Shenzhen primary school, a Xiucai in the late Qing Dynasty, served only half a year (March-September 1911), but the school was closed due to the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution.
2nd Chen Zhenxi (term 1925-1930, 1943-1944)
In 1923, the private Shenzhen Primary School resumed operation. In the spring of 1925, the board of directors of the private Shenzhen Elementary School hired Chen Zhenxi as the principal of the school. In the spring of the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), the board of directors of Yongmutang re-employed the host middle school (the predecessor of the current Shenzhen Middle School) and served as the principal of the Shenzhen Middle School.
3rd Li Yunxi (term 1933-1937)

7th Term Wang Yongkang (term 1949-1951)
Principal Wang Yongkang was the first principal introduced after the liberation by Huang Yongguang, then the county magistrate of Bao'an County, and Qi Feng, director of the "Sha, Shen and Baojun Control Committee", and Principal Wang was also a Chinese language teacher at Shenzhen Middle School.
8th Term Lu Shengyao (term 1952-1954)
