"Shoes are broken, hats are broken, the robes on the body are broken, you laugh at me, he laughs at me, a fan is broken"
I believe that this lyric is not only sung after the 70s and 80s, but also after the 90s, there will be many people who are very familiar with it, as long as they hear this lyric, many people's minds will immediately appear in the minds of a crazy monk who walks with his crotch twisted all day, which is Jigong.

Jigong is a legendary figure with a long history, but most people really make this image concrete, but most people still start with the series "Jigong" in the 1980s. Of course, it is also because this image is too deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and in the future, parents will use that fixed sentence when urging the author to take a bath: You see that your dirty is the same as Jigong.
I. Segmented broadcast of "Jigong"
"Jigong" was first filmed by Hangzhou TELEVISION, why is it Hangzhou TV, it is not because the Lingyin Temple is there, just like Henan TV filmed "Bao Gong", Shandong TV filmed "Wu Song", Changchun filmed "The Legend of Kant's First Bodyguard", and the near water tower platform got the moon first.
"Jigong" was a sensation in the country as soon as it was broadcast, and its popularity was not inferior to that of the translated TV dramas of the same period and the Hong Kong and Taiwan TV dramas.
At the beginning of the broadcast of "Jigong" only six episodes, each episode of a small story, such a structure is very conducive to replay, the audience no matter from which episode does not affect the viewing effect, so many people do not realize how many episodes of "Jigong" in the end, anyway, turn over and see those stories are not tired of watching.
In 1988, the new "Jigong" came out, but this time it seems to have changed its outfit, and the author's impression seems that Jigong's clothes are neat and darker, but the style has not changed.
However, soon a new Jigong appeared, this version of Jigong not only changed clothes, but also changed people and TV titles, the lead actor changed from You Benchang to young Lü Liang, and the theme song changed from "Where there is unfairness and where there is me" to "Pu Fan Shake". Although the story of the new version of "Jigong Wai biography" is also good, such as the story of Fei Laifeng and Yao Ershan Shi Wuliu is very interesting, but the substitution of Jigong still caused "trauma" to the hearts of some viewers.
Later, I learned that there were originally twelve episodes of "Jigong", six episodes were broadcast in 1985, two episodes were broadcast in 1988, and then four episodes were broadcast after half a year. This phenomenon of twelve episodes of TV dramas being filmed and broadcast in three parts is also no one in the history of China's television dramas.
2. You Benchang and Lü Liang
Speaking of Jigong, the image that immediately appears in front of most people's eyes is none other than You Benchang's version of Jigong.
Born in 1933, You Benchang was born in the acting department of the Shanghai Theater Academy, he has always devoted himself to the drama stage, and when he was young, he was also a handsome man. Unexpectedly, before retiring, the 53-year-old ushered in the peak of his acting career. Since the beginning of "Ji Gong", you Benchang's second half of his life has basically been seamlessly connected with this crazy monk, which I believe teacher Zhang Jinlai also feels.
Although Zhou Xingchi and Chen Haomin in recent years have also performed different images of Jigong, the most thorough and deeply rooted in the study of Jigong is still You Benchang.
Lü Liang was able to play Jigong, which should be due to the intervention of Shanghai Television. To be fair, if there is no You Benchang's pearl jade in the front and preconceived notions, with Lü Liang's performance he is also an excellent version of Jigong, and the four stories of "Jigong Wai biography" he starred in are more subtle and more profound than the eight stories before You Benchang, but it is difficult for him to shake the image of You Benchang's teacher.
Although Lü Liang is only a hurried visitor to Jigong, this also allows us to see the superb acting skills of this famous Haipai actor, and perhaps it is a kind of happiness that he has not bound himself to Jigong, and I believe that Teacher Ma Dehua will understand it very well.
Third, why is "Jigong" so popular?
First of all, "Jigong" is adapted on the basis of folklore such as "Jigong Biography", which itself has a certain mass base, which is the same as the "Journey to the West", "Dream of the Red Chamber" and "Wu Song" in the same period.
Secondly, the adaptation of "Jigong" on the basis of folklore is more easily accepted by the masses, in the story of the twelve episodes, "Jigong" always conveys a relaxed, happy and vengeful spirit of punishing evil and promoting good, bad people will always be punished but not as excessive as "Jigong Biography", good people are more peaceful in life, this kind of simple emotional transmission is just the easiest to impress ordinary people.
Finally, I don't know how other people feel when they watch "Jigong", anyway, the author sometimes looks at "Jigong" as "Doraemon". That is, JiGong will always have a way and spell to solve the problem at any time, and from time to time he will show the audience his skill pool. For example, the wine gourd that always pretends to be dissatisfied has fascinated the author infinitely. From another point of view, "Jigong" may be regarded as a relatively early cool drama, and the audience will get a comfortable feeling because of Jigong's omnipotence when watching "Jigong".
At the end, I will talk about the author's favorite stories in these twelve episodes of "Jigong", one is "yin and yang tears", especially the bridge section where Jigong pulls the eyes of the father and daughter together to tie up into a dead button, which is very funny and is often used by the author to joke with classmates and colleagues. The other is "The Great Trouble in Qin Xiang Mansion", where Ji Gong's various tricks to punish bad people are overwhelming, which is the most exciting episode. There is also a Lü Liang version of the "ignition of the two three".
I don't know how much readers and friends remember this TV series "Jigong" from more than thirty years ago.
