Can we be saved when an injury occurs? Who can be the one who saves us? Friends or family? Is it a neighbor? Is it a passerby? The person closest to you... But do they understand first aid skills that are key to the continuity of life?
In order to improve the awareness and participation of the general public in responding to first aid care, in the past year, Chen Xu led the members of the "Gold Medal Helper Girl Chen Xu Committee Studio" to jointly write a proposal entitled "Suggestions on Vigorously Promoting and Introducing Social Forces to Participate in the Popularization of 'Pre-hospital First Aid' Skills", which has been highly valued by relevant government departments. In the process of handling the proposal, the "Gold Medal Helper Girl Chen Xu Committee Member Studio" actively united with the District Red Cross Society to widely carry out first-aid knowledge popularization training for the society, and implemented the "Red Cross Fraternity Home Project" in the Niubotang community of Dongtang Street, relying on the original committee studio position, to create the first community life safety experience classroom in the district, and regularly carry out first-aid knowledge popularization activities.
Since 2016, when the province's first AED (a portable medical device) device was installed in a public place landed in CapitaLand Plaza, Yuhua District, Chen Xu has spared no effort to call for the importance of establishing AEDs in public places and crowded areas and popularizing first aid knowledge. In 2019, Chen Xu used the "Xiangsheng Bao" and other media to publish a book entitled "Human Life Is Closed to Heaven!" In the past five years, Chen Xu has called for: "We must recognize the importance of the concept of AED in public places, so that more people can learn first aid, dare to give first aid, and will be able to give first aid." ”

Over the past 17 years, Chen Xu has always been at the forefront of practicing volunteer service. In April 2021, in order to adapt to the service work for the elderly under the new normal, Chen Xu innovatively launched the "Dongtang Street Community Culture Public Welfare Classroom". Every week, a number of cultural and entertainment courses such as paper-cutting, calligraphy, Chinese painting, watercolor painting, Chinese knot art, beading, yoga and so on are carried out in the "Gold Medal Gang Girl Chen Xu Committee Member Studio", so that the elderly in the community can not only rely on the old, but also learn from the old.
Since May 2021, Chen Xu and Guangzhou Sunshine Qingteng Public Welfare Service Center have launched the "Blood Cancer Serious Disease Relief Public Welfare Project", as of September, through the network to raise a total of nearly 800,000 yuan, sent relief funds to more than 20 leukemia patients; in June, the integration of 7 social organizations resources, actively participate in the Dongtang Street communities to benefit the people public welfare projects, send a variety of intimate public welfare services for community residents; in July, in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, "Dongtang Street Community Culture Public Welfare Classroom" The elderly spontaneously created 100 paper-cut works on the theme of party history education, and carried out the "Study Party History, Appreciation of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Community Culture Paper-cutting Tour exhibition" in more than 40 communities in Changsha; in August, the Hunan Provincial Buddha Mercy Foundation donated 300,000 yuan to the flood disaster in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and the epidemic prevention and control of Zhangjiajie. At the same time, during the epidemic prevention and control period in August, Chen Xu led a team of Red Cross volunteers to actively participate in the epidemic prevention and control work in various communities in Dongtang Street; in September, together with Qiansi Decoration Company, he donated love libraries to 19 schools in Xiangxi, Hengyang and Xiangtan; in October, Chen Xu ushered in the most important milestone in his life and became a member of the Communist Party of China with honor.
