Shanghai Long Beach Observation Tower is a cylindrical towering structure with a diameter of 25.7 meters and a height of about 180 meters, which is a supporting project for the major project of the G1501 River Crossing Tunnel. The entire tower has 3 floors underground and 19 floors above ground, and the shape of the building is like a "Dinghai God Needle", towering at the confluence of the Huangpu River and the Yangtze River, and is also the tallest building in Baoshan District. Shanghai Construction Machinery Group said that with the final section of the hanging curtain wall steel structure in place under the joint traction of six hydraulic synchronous lifting equipment, the Shanghai Long Beach Sightseeing Tower curtain wall steel structure lifting construction has been successfully completed, and when the curtain wall is installed, the beautiful scenery of Baoshan Riverside will be 360 degrees in view.
The three cantilever trusses of the tower are hung under three sections of cylindrical grid steel structure with a maximum height of 44 meters for curtain wall installation. The upper end of the structure is a fixed hinge node, the lower end is a variable stiffness elastic connecting rod developed for this project, and there is no connection between the upper and lower supports and the main structure. The steel structure of the curtain wall of the entire sightseeing tower is a cylindrical grid steel structure, and the installation accuracy is high.
The construction party installs the outer ring cylindrical grid steel structure from top to bottom through the self-developed "computer synchronous control hydraulic lifting" and "intelligent automatic tracking measurement" technology, and there is no precedent in China for this process of using reverse construction suspension steel structure.
