Hashek's novel masterpiece comic strip "The Adventures of the Good Soldier Shuaik" is a humorous and absurd story

The Good Soldier Shuaik, full name "Good Soldier Shuaik's Encounter in the First World War", is a long political satire written by the Czech writer Hašek. The writer distilled it from a large amount of material he had obtained while serving in the Austro-Hungarian army.

The novel takes the protagonist Shuai Ke's experience in the First World War as the main plot, vividly describes the incompetent and stupid ugliness of the officers, policemen and priests of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and profoundly exposes the vicious arbitrariness of the Austro-Hungarian rulers and the corruption and degeneration of the army.
