Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Symphony Orchestra

The Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Symphony Orchestra is one of the first batch of 14 national symphony orchestras designated by the Ministry of Education, and has participated in the "Elegant Art entering the campus" symphony popularization performance for many times. The orchestra has achieved remarkable results in competitions at home and abroad, and is a cultural business card of Jiaotong University that is well-known at home and abroad.

The orchestra is guided by the Art Education Center of the Faculty of Humanities, with Wu Yibo as the permanent conductor, and the members are composed of undergraduates and master's and doctoral students from various departments of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Wu Yibo is an associate professor at the School of Humanities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a member of the Chinese Musicians Association.

He is currently the permanent conductor of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. The conductor orchestra won the first prize of the Fifth National University Student Art Exhibition for consecutive years, and led the orchestra to international exchange performances for many times. He has been awarded the title of "National Excellent Aesthetic Education Worker" by the Ministry of Education.

For more than 20 years, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Choir, as a disseminator of elegant art on campus, has been active on major stages inside and outside the university for many years, holding many special choral concerts, and has been invited to participate in music festivals and exchange performances in Europe, the Americas and Asia. The student choir has also won numerous awards in various competitions at home and abroad.

The orchestra is directed by the Art Education Center of the Faculty of Humanities, with Zhang Qin as the permanent conductor. The team is composed of undergraduate students and master's and doctoral students from various departments of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Qin Zhang is a teacher at the Art Education Center of the School of Humanities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a master's degree in composition theory and conducting from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Since 2005, he has been the conductor of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Choir, leading the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Choir to win gold medals in Shanghai, national and international choral competitions.

The Shanghai Jiao Tong University Faculty Choir is formed by the merger of the former Nanyang Teachers' Choir and the former Siyuan Teachers' Choir, guided by the school trade union, and is now permanently conducted by Zhang Qin of the Art Education Center of the College of Humanities.

The group is composed of vocal-loving medical staff from various departments, departments, departments, directly subordinate units and affiliated units of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the choir is accompanied by alumni Xu Yuedong and current student Chen Shuyu.
