Why can one of my lambs sell for 1800?

author:Three cobblers

Two rams (3 months old) were sold two days ago for 3600 yuan and one for 1800 yuan. I was very happy, finally there was money in, from Last May to the present, has been out of the money, never entered, this finally has progress.

When the epidemic was just a little bit last year, he and his partner ran to Heze, Shandong Province, and entered a cart of sheep seedlings. I have been thinking about raising sheep for a long time, but I have not done it, and when I finally had time to do it last year, I did it on impulse. From the beginning of the construction of the sheep shed, to the introduction of sheep seedlings in the future, the whole year has been busy, and now finally see a glimmer of light.

Why can one of my lambs sell for 1800?

Now let's talk about why my lamb can sell for 1800 yuan a piece, according to normal circumstances, about 3 months of lamb, that is, about 40 pounds, according to the price of 21 pounds of meat, it is worth about 900 yuan, why my selling price has doubled? What is the reference value for new breeding friends?

There are four breeds of sheep I raise, 1. Dupo (1 male and 18 female), 2. Australian white (1 male and 18 female), 3. lake sheep (30 females), 4. Suffolk (1 male, 10 crossed females). At that time, the development idea was two ideas, first, raising purebred sheep with better performance, selling breeding sheep (large investment, high risk, high return), second, breeding commercial sheep, that is, raising lake sheep with better reproductive performance, engaging in binary hybridization, and then using binary hybridized ewes and meat sheep to re-hybridize, producing ternary hybrid sheep, ternary hybrid sheep, growth performance, disease resistance is the best, can be large-scale production. Therefore, the Dubo and Australian whites who entered at that time were ready to breed purebred and then sell breeding sheep. Why? Because we found that in recent years, the northwest region has been changing breeding sheep, breeding sheep sources, mostly from Shandong, often through online channels to get news, and then complete the transaction, but there are several problems in doing so: 1. Do not trust (without actual investigation, trust is not easy to establish. 2. The emergency response of the sheep is large (one or two thousand kilometers shipped over, most of the sheep will have a cold, proper disposal is OK, poor disposal, it will produce losses. 3. The price is high (through our experience of actually buying sheep, we find that most of the prices are inflated).

Farmers in the northwest have this demand (good breeding rams), but there are various restrictions, so we look at this problem and are ready to introduce purebred Dubo and Australian white, and then breed themselves, and then sell the bred lambs to nearby farmers. In this way, their needs are met, the sheep will not be emergency, and the main thing is that the price is very low (if shipped from abroad, the price double is possible).

Of course, the idea is good, the actual situation is not necessarily like this, for example, the same body length of the same Du Bo and Australian white, Du Bo asked a lot of people, buy more people, but Australian white almost no one cares (maybe they think this is the same as the local sheep, just long and strong).

In any case, through a year of practice, our two-step development idea has already achieved preliminary results, and next, we must first continue to do a good job in breeding, continue to improve the breeding of local breeding sheep, and lead farmers to increase income. Secondly, in July and August this year, our second step of development plan began to be implemented, the hybrid Duhu ewe can begin breeding in July and August this year, and the current plan is to use Suffolk to produce a three-way hybrid Ofu Lake Sadu (also known as black pearl).

Although the road of breeding is arduous, watching the birth of lambs one by one, their ideas have become reality little by little, and their hearts are indeed particularly solid.
