With the accelerated rise of the probiotic market, how to broaden the application scenarios of probiotics and build core competitiveness has become particularly important. On October 22, the 4th China Dairy Capital Forum hosted by Securities Daily was held, and Zhu Hui, Director of Public Affairs of Jianhe Group in China, attended and shared the experience of Jianhe Group in the steady development of the probiotic field.

The three core businesses of Jianhe Group are infant nutrition, adult nutrition and pet nutrition, and currently have probiotic products. Zhu Hui believes that to broaden the application scenarios of probiotics, first of all, enterprises or industries take science as the basis, take research and development as the cornerstone, and promote the development of industrial science through continuous scientific research and innovation; secondly, it is to fully integrate the industry, academia and research community to carry out joint research post-market evaluation and clinical research, and use science to promote the high-quality development of the industry.

"Jianhe is a 'veteran' who has been deeply involved in the probiotic industry for nearly 20 years. In 2002, we launched the Group's first probiotic product 'Syncylon Probiotic Punch Children's Type'; in 2014, we invested 40 million yuan in cooperation with Mérieux, France, to establish the world's leading microecological research platform. Zhu Hui introduced that in 2020, Biosbio won the honor of "the world's first brand of baby and child probiotics" certified by Euromonitor for three consecutive years, and has sold more than 2 billion bags so far.

With the continuous research of probiotics in the scientific community in recent years, it has more application scenarios. Zhu Hui said, "We now know that probiotics have a variety of roles such as mucosal barrier, immune protection, balance of flora and acting on the brain and intestinal axis, and in the future, I believe that with the deepening of scientific research, the industry continues to invest in research and development, and the application scenarios of probiotics will be more and more." ”

In the face of the "probiotic gold rush", how can enterprises build core competitiveness? Zhu Hui put forward a six-point proposal.

First, enterprises should take research and development as the cornerstone, take innovation as the driving force, and use science to promote the healthy development of the industry; second, we must establish a post-market evaluation system, encourage clinical observation and real-world research, and use data to support the steady development of the industry; third, promote the combination of production, education and research, standardize the connection of the industrial chain, and use integration to help the orderly development of the industry; fourth, vigorously carry out consumer education, enhance consumer health awareness and correct understanding of probiotics, and use science to help the rapid development of the industry; fifth, production and operation are becoming increasingly standardized. Do not exaggerate publicity, do not add illegally, enterprises assume the main responsibility for food safety, ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of probiotic products, and use safety to ensure the development of the industry; sixth, establish an excellent brand image, carry out industry self-discipline, boost consumer confidence, promote double-cycle construction, and enhance the high-quality development of the industry with sincerity.

"Jianhe will also adhere to the solid improvement of scientific research and innovation capabilities, strengthen consumer education and interaction capabilities, ensure food safety to carry out industry self-discipline, continuously enhance brand power, and promote the common development of the industry." Zhu Hui said.
