The Shanghai Film Actors Troupe has a tradition of respecting the elderly and loving the elderly, and the annual respect for the elderly has been adhered to for more than 20 years. Troupe actors Niu Ben, Da Shichang, Liang Polo, Zhang Yunli, Wu Yunfang, Zhu Manfang, Hong Rong, Zhao Jing, Ma Guanying, Cui Jie, Wang Shihuai, Wu Mian, Zhang Xiaolin, Yu Hui, Shen Min, Tong Ruixin, Sun Qing and other four generations of filmmakers gathered together. Many people have gray hair, and they still joke like young people when they meet, and old friends who have not met for a long time are excitedly hugging each other, holding small flags and taking pictures with mobile phones.
The old artist Xiang Mei wears a big red knit shirt, smiles like a flower, and looks energetic. "Make sure you wear makeup and dress up a little more beautifully," she says with a smile. This year, Xiang Mei clarified the self-media rumor of "bleak evening scenery" with the help of this newspaper, and she seemed relaxed and happy to participate in the event. Her husband, Chi Xidao, former deputy director of the Shanghai Film Studio, also improved under her meticulous care and came to the scene to celebrate together.
This year, the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe continued to launch the "Sound and Shadow" series of recitation programs, and self-financed the restoration and construction of a small professional recording studio in the troupe's attic, led by Dashi Chang to organize the troupe's actors to recreate the world classic "Oxfly" with their voices. With the recording of "Bullfly", the number of participants has grown from the earliest few to more than twenty people, gradually forming a "line training class". Here, everyone is a student and a teacher, and everyone learns from each other, discusses together, and forms a warm atmosphere.
At present, "Bullfly" has been recorded, and the line training class has been successfully completed. At the scene of the Chongyang Respect for the Elderly activity, senior teachers Da Shichang, Yan Yongxuan, Hong Rong, Hong Zhaosen, Meng Jun presented certificates of completion to the students Tong Ruixin, Wang Shihuai, Ma Guanying, Cui Jie, Zhao Jing, Xue Guoping, Bi Yuanjin, Chen Weiguo, Zhou Guobin, Yu Hui, Sun Qing, Jin Xiaoyan, Yang Chen, Lü Yang, Zong Xiaojun, Liu Wei, He Genqier, etc. Tong Ruixin also presented special honorary certificates to DaShichang, Yan Yongxuan, Hong Rong, Hong Zhaosen and Meng Jun.

This year, the troupe of upper film actors is still busy. The troupe's actors have successively starred in and participated in many film and television dramas such as "1921", "Ayutthaya Building", "Glory and Dreams", "Wangdao", "Living up to the People", "Deng Xiaoping Trail", "Beautiful Xiangyang Village", "Hello Procurator", "Like Jade", "8090", "Stone Blossom", "Blossoming Flowers" and many other film and television dramas, and the Shangying Actor Troupe has never been absent in major time node activities. In 2021, the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe won the title of "Advanced Collective of the National Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television System", and Dashi Chang also won the title of "Outstanding Communist Party Member of the Shanghai Propaganda System" at the commendation meeting of the "Two Excellent and One First" propaganda system celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
In the minds of the young actors of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe, the predecessors are like lighthouses, illuminating their path forward artistically. Every year in the Chongyang Respect for the Elderly Event, the troupe will issue honorary certificates to the 80-year-old artists. This year, the troupe's senior actors Zhu Manfang and Li Shouzhen officially entered the ranks of "post-80s" old artists. Putting on the troupe's commemorative group emblem, Zhu Manfang said excitedly: "I didn't expect that I was 80 years old, and the time passed too quickly." Thanks to the troupe's annual Chongyang Respect for the Elderly event, we can be happy and happy. Artists over the age of 80 such as Niu Ben, Xiang Mei, Da Shichang, Liang Boluo, Zhang Yunli, Wu Yunfang, Qi Mingyuan, Yan Yongxuan, Zhang Wenrong and other artists over the age of 80 also received gifts at the scene. Before leaving, Tong Ruixin learned that Qi Mingyuan lived in Hangzhou, and he came from Hangzhou early in the morning to participate in the troupe's activities. Zhang Wenrong is the wife of the famous director Wu Yigong, and when she left, she patted Tong Ruixin's shoulder and burst into tears, thanking and dinging repeatedly.
This year, the troupe actor Fu Chong officially retired, and after graduating in 1996, she starred in the TV series "Red Cross" and received widespread attention. In 2020, she donated a total of 660,000 yuan to the Hubei Red Cross Foundation three times. She originally wanted to donate in the name of the film actor troupe, but under the repeated persuasion of Tong Ruixin, she changed to donate in her personal name. In this activity of respecting the elderly, Fu Chong donated 20,000 yuan to the troupe and customized a sunny umbrella suitable for old artists.
Before the event began, the old artists and young juniors of the actor troupe took a group photo around the round table, and the feelings for the troupe and the enthusiasm for the performance career were passed on and continued between generations. The actors treated the troupe as writers, and the scene was lively and warm.
