Kuding tea

It is the young leaves of the holly family Wolfbone, large-leaf holly or Kuding tea holly.
Mature Kuding tea trees pick young leaves before and after the Qingming Dynasty, and the first round is more picked, the second round is less, the long one is slightly more picked, and the short shoot is less. After the leaves are picked, they are placed on a bamboo sieve for ventilation and allowed to dry or dry in the sun
It grows on hillsides , valleys , streamside woods or shrublands.
Distributed in Gansu, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan and other places.
Also known as woolly leaf yellow cow wood, yellow berries, earth tea, tea lid, horn thorn tea.

Large-leaved holly Evergreen large tree, up to 20 m tall, chest diameter about 60 cm. The bark is ochre black or greyish black, rough with shallow lobes; the twigs are stout, yellowish brown, and have longitudinal cracks and ridges.
The petiole is 1.5–2.5 cm long; the leaves are thick leathery, oblong or ovate, 8–28 cm long, 4.5–7.5 (-9)cm wide, short tapering or blunt at the apex, broad wedge-shaped or rounded at the base, sparsely serrated at the edges, concave above the midrib, raised below, pronounced above the lateral veins, dark green above, shiny, pale green below.
The inflorescence is clustered with leaf axils, conical; the flowers are 4 numbers; the male inflorescence has 3-9 flowers per branch, the peduncle is 7-8 mm long, the calyx diameter is about 3.5 mm, the lobes are round, the corolla is inverted, the diameter is about 9 mm, the petals are ovate and oblong, the base is slightly combined, the stamens are equal in length to the corolla; the female inflorescence has 1-3 flowers per branch, the peduncle is 5-8 mm long, the calyx diameter is about 3 mm, the corolla diameter is about 5 mm, the petals are ovate, and the ovary is oval.
The fruit is spherical, about 7 mm in diameter, red, the outer fruit is thick, smooth, and the head is disc-shaped; the nucleus is 4, oblong and oval, with 3 longitudinal ridges on the back, and the inner peel is bone. The flowering period is from April to May, and the fruit period is from June to November.
