Today, the 100th anniversary celebration of Yanbian apple and pear planting kicked off in Longjing Pear Blossom Folk Square, where many tourists gathered to enjoy 10,000 acres of pear blossoms, taste folk food, and experience Korean folk customs.
At the ceremony site, there are exhibition areas such as food, folk goods, apple and pear products and achievements, so that visitors can not only feel the strong Korean farming culture and apple pear cultivation culture, but also taste authentic Korean cuisine. During the event, activities such as Korean wrestling, a 100-person parade carnival, and an agri-food development forum will also be held. The event aims to "use flowers as the medium and festival friends" to promote the transformation and upgrading of the local apple and pear industry and create a new engine for rural revitalization.
Longjing's 10,000 mu of apple and pear orchards is the oldest and highest quality pear orchard in Yanbian, and also the largest standard apple pear production base in Asia, with a history of 100 years. In recent years, Longjing has focused on the development of apple pear deep processing industry, developed a series of products such as apple pear wine and apple pear vinegar, and made positive attempts and efforts to continue the life cycle of the apple pear industry and enrich the peripheral products of apple pear.
