Guan Hanqing, who is known as Shakespeare of the East by his neighbors, lived in Beijing in the Yuan Dynasty, when the Mongols occupied the world, the Han people had no status in the country, the abolition of the imperial examination, the cultural people who were familiar with the history of the scriptures had no room for growth, Guan Hanqing was full of talent, and could only mix with the entertainment circle. Went to the tea house to write drama texts, also played a cameo role, borrowed the theme to play, and became a great dramatist among the wandering skeletons, and the "Yuan Qu" was the peak of Chinese literature. Self-evaluation "I am a steamed, uncooked, pounded, fried, loud and loud copper pea." Later generations rated as "Pear Garden Leader, Miscellaneous Drama Class Leader". Due to his low status, his life is unknown, and the "Record Ghost Book" that recorded the life of the entertainment industry at that time only had a few words for him, and there were more than sixty miscellaneous drama titles written by him, but only eighteen kinds of them existed now. Meta-miscellaneous dramas are developed, but no literature remains, and the yuanqu we see today are mostly processed by the Ming people. Among the many Mingren Yuanqu anthologies, "Yuanqu Selection" is the most popular and most accepted by readers. Other anthologies such as "Also the Garden Ancient and Modern Miscellaneous Dramas" have limited circulation because there are too few famous works. The main writers and works of the yuan opera are collected in the "Selected Yuanqu", and after the editor's collation and revision, the science and white are complete, and the most convenient to read. However, scholars have also given a lot of criticism to the editor's editing, mainly because he has rashly changed the original face of the yuan drama. However, in the 300 years since, "MetaQu Selection" has almost become the only bridge for people to understand yuanqu. The editor of the "Selected Yuanqu" is Zang Maoxun.
